that's what happened for all my programs.
so if you're status changed to "application is complete," stop worrying and have some patience, you've basically got accepted. thats absolutely incorrect. It has said "application is complete" since January from me and I still have yet to get an offer.

well it was the case for all three of the programs i applied to
some took longer to change stats than others
ive spoken to others and its usually the case that "application is complete" changes to "offer of admission" eventually

I dunno how sure r u about that
maybe its near the end of the 'acceptance' season (seeing that SOOO many people who got offered accepted queens, whereas other schools didnt have as much as an acceptance rate), maybe they're about to close admissions??

I've also had "application is complete" for months now. I think we were wrong about the May 1st deadline. I saw a scan of an acceptance letter from last year that gave the person until May 14th to respond.. I really hope we find out sooner than that. This waiting is agonizing. I got accepted to UofT Scar a while back, but didn't realize where scarborough was. Everyone's telling me not to go to scarborough 'cause it's like the abbotsford of Vancouver, so I decided to write a late application for UofT St George. I'm supposed to fill out the supplemental app, but I don't think I'm going to. If I don't get into Queens Commerce I think I'll do economics at queens. I've been accepted. I'll maybe try to transfer to Ivy in 3rd year if I start with queens economics.

Just a heads up - I know a few students who successfully transferred from Economics into Queen's Commerce in their second undergraduate year. The advantage to beginning in Economics is that some of your Economics courses can be applied to the Commerce curriculum requirements (unfortunately I am not sure of the specifics). However, you generally have to complete a few first year Commerce courses as well once you transfer into the program.

I've heard it's extremely difficult to get into Queens Commerce after year 1. That's because they do their commerce courses in years 1 and 2. You can't enter in year 2 because you will have missed all the year 1 commerce courses. I guess the option would be to cancel your arts degree for econ, go into first year commerce and do your 4 years. With Ivey, they tell you to take whatever courses you like in the first 2 years, and they only start the commerce specific courses in years 3 and 4. That means doing arts at queens is perfectly adequite for the first 2 years (as long as you meet a couple pre-reqs.) you wouldn't be behind at all entering ivey in third year. Edit: I wrote this before reading andrewc's comment above. clearly it is possible to go from econ to commerce - just have to play a bit of catch up.

I called them but they didn't exactly explain anything...shes like we havn't made a decision yet (mine says app complete..) and thats all I can tell you. I don't understand why they have to keep the meaning of it so secret there has to be a difference between the two but they just won't tell me.
