So for Queen's, the majority of their commerce offers are sent after may 1st?

Is that true?
because from what i heard it felt like everyone had already gotten in
but yeah, 5 people from my school got into ivey and only one got into Queens out of the 5.

I REALLY hope i get into Queens
and good luck to everyone else!

Yes, most are sent out after May 1st. Anything before that is considered an early offer. The cut-off date for accepting early offers is May 1st.

thats weird...arent universities supposed to give you until may 28th to decide, regardless if it is an early offer or not?

Well, I have offers to the Arts and Commerce program at Queen's, and they expire on May 1st (At least that's what OUAC states).

Ok so I just called queens and the dude at admissions told me that queens had made a lot of their offers for the commerce program but he really didn't sound "sure" so i duno if he was just guessing or what. So i'm just wondering since a lot of people are saying that queens makes most of their offers in May...anyone els call queens recently and get a different answer then i got?

If you get an offer, please post it in this thread, so we all know that Queens has sent them out and is not still deciding for some people. I'm sure we're all dying to know. big grin

People have legitimate reasons for turning down offers. Some include:

1. They want to go to science/some other program and not business. During the application period they just applied to a lot of programs (there are many that does this - this is prolly the #1 reason)
2. They cannot afford it, or they prefer to live at home with parents.
3. Conversely, they received a high scholarship from elsewhere and did not receive a good scholarship from Queen's.
4. They don't think Queen's is a good fit for them in general.

Remember to tour the campuses, find lots of facts, and get first hand information. Finding the right fit again is very important when deciding where to go for a university career - and this is not exclusive to just business programs!

Good luck!
