Does anyone know what the chances are of getting accepted off the waitlist? I'm also curious to know how many people are on this waitlist. They obviously wouldn't tell us, but does anyone have an approximate idea? Thanks.

some universities do tell you actually.. there's no harm in asking it's not as if they'll re-prioritize the wait list and give you a lower spot Queen's 2012

flopez: I recall a thread last year for Queen's Commerce wait-listed applicants. There were roughly 15-20 students who mentioned their status on the wait-list, and I would say about 5 of those were later accepted into the program. This is by no means a perfect representation of the percentage of wait-listed students who get in, but hopefully it helps.

Hey, mosolini...whatever happened with those 5 people from Centennial who got accepted for QC? At Ross...its kinda sketchy since ppl don't like to say the had to settle for UofG. I'm going into Gr.12 in the fall but I'm kinda unsure about what kind of averages and extracurricular like those who got in have. As a side note, were any of those students minorities? All the Ross applicants I talked with are not so that's just a wild connection if there is any...

The email we got says from Queens University says "You will hear from us no later than June 16, 2008." Has anyone heard from them yet?

Mine changed from decision pending to: YOUR APPLICATION HAS BEEN KEPT OPEN FOR CONSIDERATION It seems everyone has that now who were on the waitlist before. What are everyone's backups?

I have bad news for anyone who is waitlisted. I went to Goodes Hall today and talked to some of the Admission Staff about the waitlist situation. One of the Admission staff told me that at the moment, Queen's Commerce has OVER accepted students. They only want 300 students and they curently have a lot more than that. They're actually waiting for people who have already accepted to decline their offer over the summer. It is extremely likely that Admissions will not even go to the waitlist this year. Yes, I know this is very frustrating for anyone who is on the waitlist.

I knew this was going to happen. I rarely came across people who rejected Queen's Commerce.
