why can't they just post the names of all the winners? since I assume that people are contacted via email, what if the email goes into their spam and they are unable to receive it. would it not be easier if we just had all the winners posted.

Why don't you ask the forums' staff?

I sure hope they will post them here. I have lost emails due to spam filters before.

my guess is that they will post the names or usernames of the winners. in another thread someone mentioned that the last time they held a contest like this most of the winners were not the prolific posters (but the ones who met the minimum basically). I'm guessing that means that everyone was told who won at some point so they'll probably publish the winners' names

I'd love it if they made it a 6 post minimum just to spite those who just came here for the contest

Do you need to reply and claim the prize in order to get rid of the "may" have won? You need to give your name & address to them, I imagine. Also I have to confess that I did not read the conditions of the contest; do you need to be a Canadian resident, over 18, etc. (I didn't win ) Edit: OK, I checked, there are some conditions, like beind a Canadian resident, excluding Quebec, granting rights to publish your name, picture, etc. Nothing too bad (assuming you are not from Quebec), but winners should (re)read the rules: http://forums.studentawards.com/yaf_postst61_Forum-Five-Contest--Rules-and-Regulations.aspx

I just hope at least one of the winners is a legitimate member of the forum... unlikely, but one can dream.

You're the only one I've heard of too. Congratulations bud I'm sure the other four were, you know, the spammers who posted five messages and are now hoping they'll get something in the mail... Accepted to Carleton University, Honours Bachelor of Arts in Law
