In fact, you have more than just a chance - just posting here tells me that you care A LOT about getting in, so I'm sure your PSE and essay are amazing and your acceptance is coming any day. At worst, Queen's will wait until semester 2 mid terms (if you're at a semestered school) which is still no big deal for sure . In the end, as long as you're accepted it doesn't really matter when so don't let your hopes go down. Honestly, I was shocked to hear back from Queen's so early - I know not many of my friends have heard much of anything from Queen's either, so again don't worry. How can we be awesome at Queen's if we're not there together? (by the way, we'll still be awesome at Queen's if I choose Trent because I would still officially be enrolled at Queen's) You'd be awesome anywhere Baba ;D But still. Come to Queens Anyway, even if you choose Trent we'll still end up in the same classes 4 years from now!

Also, I already gotten into general arts from Queen's in early early March! So I'm defs going. The question is: what for?

Whaaat, really? They wouldn't give you Arts if you didn't get Con-Ed? That sucks D; You're basically applying for two programs anyway, they should give you the one.

I'm feeling kind of queasy, waiting on Queen's' response. Having been accepted to Queen's Arts so early on has given me the impression that perhaps they don't want me for Con-Ed. It's probably irrational of me to think, but it's this program that I most care about. Gblluuuhhh! Hi.

Oh hi there eeeee! =D I love it when someone posts on the Queen's con-ed board. Makes me soooo happy Congrats on getting into those other schools, they're super hard to get into! Don't worry about con-ed, very VERY few people got into Con-ed Arts so far unless they were Chancellor's nominees. I asked at the open house. So don't worry yet! There's still months and months and months to gooo =) MyGod I hope everyone here gets in. I'll be so lonelyyy =(

I think I only got into Con.Ed so early because I chose science. Regardless, I'm going to Trent. I'll see you all in year 5?
Applied to: Con.Ed Trent-Queen's, Con.Ed Queen's, Con.Ed Windsor, Con.Ed Nippissing Accepted: ALL

As posted just above me now, very few people have gotten in so far unless they were Chancellor's nominees. I talked to a teacher of mine recently who is a Queen's con-ed/arts grad, and she said she got accepted about 2 weeks before the decision date. I'm hoping for mid-May, then

I don't fully understand what you said, Mads, but ooookay So after midterms come out, second round should begin, right? And then a whole bunch more people should start getting accepted. OMG THAT'S SOON. So glad my data mark won't affect whether I got into Queen's or not. I despiseee math :\

Hey all, I've been lurking this forum for a while now (since last year haha). Like many, I'm still waiting on receiving Queen's acceptance into Con.Ed, for the arts stream. If I don't get accepted, I hope to see BaBaBlue at Trent Cheers

madisonz wrote:but ya like my IDC4U marks gonna bring my average from 91.2 to 94.5 hopefully EEEE!!! Um.. sorry, but that's not possible. Every 6% above your average brings your average up 1%. To bring your average up 3.3%, your mark would need to be 20% higher than your average. If you already had a 91 average, your IDC4U mark would therefore have to be 111. Impossible. Sorry.

Be that as it may, Queen's stresses that the PSEs and the essays, though, are what ultimately determine a person's acceptance. The moment you're above a certain average, it's your supplementary stuff that is going to hold you up (or bring you down). This is pretty much what scares me...knowing that I could have written those essays in an infinite number of ways. And that perhaps my extra curriculars aren't impressive enough for them. For those of you who have gotten accepted...do you mind sharing what your approach to your essays was like?
