As many as you are applicable for... did u know that many scholarships go unawarded?!?! So it's best to fill out the ones that applies to you and the ones that you apply to at least one of the criteria...

wat do u want it to say, i'm a snob and all i want to talk about is how stressed out i am with an average over 90%? like seriously people

you know i've heard people tell me that so many times but i've yet to find any of those unawarded ones. The only ones i can think of are very specific ones; like women of Caribbean origin entering engineering at a specific university, etc. that i definitely wouldn't be eligible for

Little organisations that don't get much publicity give them out and lots don't get awarded.. like one last year was like the knights of columbus or soimething like that... and they could have gotten close to 2, 000$... that's like half a semester.... or new scholarships that just started this year.. often don't get awarded because they just suddenly pop up and stuff...

ah, that's true. i just wish there was someway easier to find those than lucky searching. (then again if they were easy to find they would most likely be filled with applications anyway)

Exactly, the unawarded ones are unawarded cuz no one can find em. Likely you have to hear about them through word of mouth.

I've done a lot (maybe 10 to 15). Do as many as you can - there's no harm in filling out a page or two of information to get some free money.

I applied for more than thirsty in grade 12 and got basically squat. I think I got almost $2000.00, which is just enough to cover college tuition (which is why I can't go to university yet... >.<") and I'm continuing to apply. I think It may be just that I'm not involved enough in the process to stand out. The essays are really what puts it over the top.^^

I applied for probably around 10. At the University of Alberta though you can fill out one application to be considered for close to 300 awards, so that's definitely helpful! I got offered around $72,000 and accepted $22,000 for my first year.
