Hey everyone!
Does anybody here go to Trent or know much about it? I got into both York and Trent for BA Honours general but planning on going into primary ed. in 2nd year. Im thinking of goin to York as it seems to have a better program and i like what i''ve heard/seen of it, but i'd like any opinions on Trent since I dont know much about it other then what i've read ont he site and such.So what do u think of the two in terms of Environment, Academics, social scene etc. Anything basically just lookin for feedback fro other students.. thanks!

Trent has a pretty good con ed. teaching program. The atmosphere of both are polar opposites: York - Midtown, city life, lots to do. Trent - Peterbrough (nuff said), a bit more laid back. I know someone in first year at Trent who is doing con ed., and she seems to be enjoying it

I'm not enrolled in the Con. Ed program but I have a lot of friends who are. They really enjoy themselves but I see them doing unbelieveable amounts of work all the time. As for Trent in general I feel that I couldn't have picked a better school. The environment is constantly positive even during the exam crunch. It has both the laid back cottage country lifestyle with a great little downtown scene.

I chose York over Trent. I browsed the websites and even they are totally different. York gave me a more welcoming atmosphere on the web site, even right down to the colours. The Trent website seemed a bit too stark or impersonal for me. But that's only my opinion. I visited York as well for the April Gala. I agree with you, it is huge. I got in for Honours BA also. I looked for the residence I would probably be staying in and pretty much everything I would need regularly is right in one little area. The Gala had very hospitable students and staff, even the students I talked to who weren't part of the event, and I can only assume the feeling will carry on when I start there next year.

So, my opinion is choose York

Hey Taha.. I kinda felt the same way, about the site and all, still felt like seeing what others thought also. But I chose York.. actually did a while ago, and then got my Trent acceptance last week and started doubting.. anyway, which residence did u pick? I chose Pond and Vanier. I know a few pople who go or have gone to York and loved it, so im pretty excited.
