I was looking that the year 2 programs in mac life sci and i'm interested in the following genetics life science physiology psychology, neuroscience & behaviour but i'm not sure which one i should choose. can someone please give a brief summary of each? thanks! -- Yes, genetics is no longer offered. Honours life science is very general and flexible, essentially another year of 1st year life science. Lots of electives. Biology and physiology is a competitive program for 2nd year, I'd recommend taking kinesiology first, it'll give you a taste of what the program could be about. Psychology is a very hard field. It's not as easy and "fun" as many people may think. I've just finished one of the psych courses, and it was definitely the hardest course out of my semester. But there's a lot of researching and reading to do.

Do you guys think my marks are good enough to get into mcmaster life sciences? This is my second year applying to Mac. English- 80 Advanced funtions- 93 Data management- 80 Biology- 98 Chemistry- 88 Calculus- 87 overall avergae: 87 *Some of the classes listed are upgrade, like I had an 80 in advanced functions and a 70 in chmesitry. I took it again and ended up with 93 and 88. How would they look at those classes? I took me two tries to get that mark. Any ideas? Thank you guys!

How do you apply to Mac Life Sciences if you take your final class (which is a prerequisite) in summer school??? Will they still accept applicants by late July/early August?

This is probably a really dumb question but how the hell do we submit our marks to Mac? I can't find the self-reporting system anywhere ><. Do I just tell my school to submit my transcript?

Do I just tell my school to submit my transcript? If you're in Ontario your school will submit your marks automatically through OUAC. Not sure about OOP though...

I havn't gotten any acceptances yet because I go to a semestered school. The only courses OUAC knows about are the ones I've completed which are
Bio: 82 Writers Craft: 84 Adv Functions: 84 Philo: 90 Engl Lit: 88
But by mid terms, they'll have Chem: 85 Calc: 88 Eng: 90+ Film: 90+
Someone...anyone... tell me... when you think I'll get my acceptances?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Should eb soon man, ive gotten mien but am declining it. only got $3000 for an entrance scholarship 995%+) and Ive already gotten 10000 from Western and 8000 from Queens so ya.
But don't worry you'll get in, I believe the cut off will more then likely be around 81-83 so you should be fine with your marks.

Hey I think you'll be getting it pretty soon Assuming that those are all U courses, I think your average is not even a percent lower than mine so you should have a really good chance of getting them soon

I am also wondering if I will get into McMaster Life Sciences.
My marks are:
Chem: 76% Religion: 90% English: 88% Bio: 82% Calculus: 80% History: 82%
The cut-off for Life Sciences at McMaster is 83-86%. I calculated my average and it was exactly an 83%. What are the chances that I'll get into the program? I'm afraid because it's exactly an 83, they might not even consider me, especially since it's already March (I've heard people from other schools have already been accepted into the program).

I think you'll get in, but its always safe to at least be within the range. Try to get your chem and calculus up.
