Kungfucius, maybe you just weren't into it.
I play guitar but I'm focusing more on piano now. Also trumpet 'cause of my school's chamber band.

i played piano for like 10 years (like every asian) and i quit cuz i hated practicing for all the scales and crap and playing one piece like 236432 times to perfect it.
looking back on it I feel those 10 years were kinda a waste. piano lessons are like more than $30/hour! i mean i guess i learned a skill but was it really worth all that time and money x.x oh well can't go back in time now..

@ jackbaek...how far did you make it? I think i made it to grade 3, but i was never very good at piano. Sometimes i get jealous when i see very good pianists perform. You should be thankful for musical talent.

My main instrument is the piano, and I've played the viola throughout high school. I miss the viola and aghh piano exam in 2 weeks. The stress and pressure is killing me! Jack: maybe you could teach piano during your spare time for some money! that's what i plan on doing... i have to make some money back after all these years =_='

I feel the exact same way. If I took all the money my parents spent on piano lessons for 10 years and adjusted for time value of money, I'd have enough to buy an Audi.
