I am currently attending high school in a town with a population of 15,000 or less, and there are only two high schools soon too be only one due to repairs of the one I am in. We have a small canteen in this school where they over charge the students to eat disgusting soup and basically bread with tomatoes and cheese which they call "pizza". Sandwiches and drinks are also sold but who wants to buy causantes (that French bread stuff) that have been sitting there for a week. BUT the other high school has a smorgasborge of selection, slushies and everything! Think your school is worse? Or better?
Never give up

It depends. If Im eating it every day, then yes, I cant stand it, but if its once in awhile, then its a nice treat from always having to make my own food.

Ugh, I hate buying caf food from my school. It's either undercooked or wayyyy overcooked. Their brownies give me heartburn *tear*..

The cafeteria at my school is pretty good. We have a certified chef and all, but the food choices aren't that healthy. Last year we had a private business come in and serve the students, but do to the massive amount of debt that my school is in, the school used the cafeteria as a means to make money. Anyway the school said that the change was due to a change in lifestyle and promoting healthier lifestyles. The menu has changed and they do have healthy choices, but usually they are unavailable and I have to resort to pizza or whatever the special is for that day. Although I love pizza, they should encourage students by selling healthier foods explicitly.

Hm, food at my school is...okay. There's lots of grease and fat but it's just like going to a fast food place. We have things like burgers(cheese, chicken, bbq specials), pizza, perogies, fries, chicken nuggets, chicken wraps, soft tacos (filled with rice and meat), yogurt with granola, cookies, muffins, pizza pretzels, scones, apple tarts, soup...etc etc. Year by year they've been trying to make things more healthy, but don't really see much happening...only prices going up by 25 cents each year.

The cafeteria food at my school are decent. They have different cultural foods at times, but they still sell a pile of deep fried stuff (which is gross). I don't like to eat cafeteria food as much because it tastes funny, like it has expired for....decades! I rather go off-campus and buy something that was just made out of the kitchen, and it just so happens that the restaurants and cafés near my school sell their food cheaper (or worth more for the money). So, I don't know whats up with the cafeteria food, but smelling it makes me gag! And the cafeteria ALWAYS raises the price every year...probably because they know the students are so addicted or use to eating the cafeteria food that it is okay to raise the price and make more profit. But now more and more students are going off-campus to buy their lunches.

My cafeteria food's awesome! Well, except when they overcook the fries. We have bugers, fries, pizza, nuggets, hot dogs, wraps, burritos, pitas, yogurt, pudding, jumbo cookings, stew/soup, breakfast specials, etc, etc, etc. The list goes on. We also sometimes get meals like ham or turkey dinners. Our school has been trying to make things healthier too but like yours we haven't seen much. They did stop selling pop and chips in the caf for a while but they brought them back. We even get iced caps!

everything is overpriced in my school! there's no variety of food--only stale, sauceless (i'm exaggerating) pizza, potatoes, SOMETIMES panzeratto, and veal sandwich (REALLY REALLY overpriced for both), somekind of steamed veggies, and really plain chicken burger... our caf is terrible! plusss everything is greasy, especially the cookies~
i'm hoping to get some quality food next year! when i say 'quality', i mean something better than dog food that i get at my school.

Well I go to Fletcher's Meadow Secondary School in Brampton. The quality of the cafeteria food isn't horrible or anything. The biggest problem for me though is that I happen to be a vegetarian and some days, I can't find anything to eat, more than an apple. It gets to me those days when they are only selling the special that consists of chicken fingers, or some fish filets like honestly! There needs to be an alternative for the vegetarians everyday; we can't forget about those who need to eat!

My cafeteria food is quite good, especially the fresh subs that the students prepare each day. Everything is made according to your likes and preferences for just four dollars!

They had everything even veggies and dip, pasta salad and stuff like that. The only thing bad about it was that the bought pizza everyday and would sometimes save the leftovers for the next day and claim it to be fresh when you could clearly tell it aint. Also why don't you do something about your school. Get a petition going or even start bring your lunch. just an idea.

I am a grade 12 student this year and looking forward to grad. WOOT GRAD 08! There is only one high school in my town and we really don’t have much for cafeteria food. They bring in restaurant food from time to time, but its stuff like McDonalds…who wants to eat that ever Monday for lunch…gross…you can feel your arteries clog as you eat it. They really need some healthy food and not fast food or restaurant food.
