I also applied to scholarships that I was not eligible for and I won them just the same. The more you apply for the more you will be successful in winning!

wow. you must be really smart and in the best program?

I've never qualified...? and if I did- my grades weren't high enough.

As a disability student I get money in "services" that's kind of cool?

$50 doesn't seem very significant.

Come to Alberta where you get $2500 for having 80%+ in all 3 years of high school razz

Try electing a government that encourages a flat tax, low business taxes, doesn't spend all your taxes on excessive social programs, and invests money for future generations (ie. Heritage Fund) and wonderful things will happen razz

i think i'd rather go for a government that doesn't try to make what should be a public health care system two tier instead. the scholarship is terrific and everything but i'd value those social programs even more (provided the flaws in the system get addressed)

Just a small point, shouldn't debate about our health care options go... say... not in the "How much money have you won?" thread?

I won ~$10 000 (that I'm going to accept) in scholarships so far. I declined ~$40 000/full ride to another university, so my total offers stand at roughly $50 000.

If only I got the Premier's Excellence Award, I would be set for the first year. frown

I have won $46,800 over 4 years.

Had I chosen Carleton, it would have been $44,800 over 4 years. It doesn't seem like it would have made a big difference, but tuition at St Thomas in Fredericton, NB is frozen at only $3100 a year for the next 2 years, and residence is less than $7000, and since I live in NB my travel expenses will be way less this way. So I am avoiding debt...until grad school, that is.
