i have a couple of friends who are considering ryerson for business management... from what i have heard from them is that ryerson is a pretty good business school, but so is york =]

Hello Ive applied to all three business programs at Ryerson..however i am planning to go in INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT because i dont thinl ill be getting in Business Management..still im not sure my gr 11 marks sucked big time..currently i have a 83 average going to my midterms..does any one know if i will get in..?...im soo scared

83% is good enough for Business Management. my friend had 83% and he got accepted in march (but he had like 5 U/M courses on his transcript at that point) I applied for Business Management and Politics, and got offers for both, and I decided to go for Politics.. but I will still take as many business electives as I can! so I may see a few of you next year

My friend who played around in school was allowed to redo english in the summer and his final average afterwards was around 73% and he still got in. So I think most people are fine for that program. Also, I don't think Business Management is as competitive as you make it out to be, I got in myself with 82.5% using semester 1 marks and marks from last year.

my friend just received an acceptance and she has an avg of 82 from first sem. Elia might find it competitive because their marks aren't that high, seenia.

ok..thanx a lot..that helps..but the thing is that I repeated 2 maths..advance functions and Data managmenet and im gettin in 80's in both of them so ya..

I also participated in the online chat from ryerson held last week..and i got a chance to speak to the officer of the Business Management program and the way she made it sound about getting in..i thought it was imposssible thats y i started to panick..but now im ok.i told her my marks and an average of 83 and she said..theyll consider so i dunno..still..i have hope..

I got accepted and accepted it.
Honestly, one of the main reasons I was thinking about not going there was because it wasn't competitive enough...the biggest thing Ryerson Commerce has against it is that people and some recruiters think of it as not being on par with the others.
What pisses me off however is that I can't get an entrance scholarship based on my average because I took an extra semester and am no longer in school.

Last year it was allegedly 82 but I think that was just the cutoff for the first rounds of acceptance. I have a friend with 85 who got accepted, and a friend with a 79-80 who hasn't heard anything yet.
And I don't want to go to Schulich. Almost went to U of T but decided not to. I'm still second guessing myself over that one, though.
