I am so thankful I am not studying on campus. We have a group studying together in a rural area. Ranges from 12 to 20 students. The down side is a have had to take a number of courses through independant studies. It can be difficult as I miss the interaction with the others.

I'm at a fairly small college (Confederation in Thunder Bay), and have between 20-60 students in the majority of my classes. I considered going to a larger facility, but I found that the smaller classrooms allows more coverage of material and provides a great learning environment.

I have a nice range: 20 people in a couple classes, 80 in a couple others, and about 400 in another two of my classes. The largest class I had was first-year biology, which had about 700 students.

Law 12 = 37 people. Physics 11 - 27 people. Bio 12 = like 25 or so people. Math 11 = 22 people.

My classes range from about 20-ish people to 300 people. Actually, the most I had might have been something close to 400, but I don't really remember. The ones with 200+ people were all 1st year bio courses. Actually, one 3rd yr bio course I'll be taking in the spring term has close to 200 people.. My cs classes I took/am taking next term range from 70 to 120, and math, after the first term of first year, stayed at less than 50 people, with the one I took last term having less than 20 people. The French course I'll be taking next term has 20 people, so I'm looking forward to that =)

Just as a side not, in University class sizes dont matter, i dont know where everyone gets this dumb idea from, I think its mainly a marketing ploy that small universities use to attract students. My favorite class right now is huge, chem, with about 200 ppl, you know why...cuz i have great profs(3 or so cycle the course cuz they have their specialties or w/e), who have amazing personalities and actually want you to succeed. My least favorite class is physics, literally 30 people cramped into a small white room...horrible prof, insane homework assignments that nobody manages to do by themselves, and a terrible final that the course coordinators will refuse to curve even if the class avg is a 55 like it was last year. Dont be retarded and fall for this whole class size bull, smaller classes really only mean the prof wont like you very much after you fall asleep. Plus I get the whole highschool vibe when theres less than 50 ppl around, and I really dont want to revisit that part of my life again.

I'm in second year univ, and I still like small classes over large ones. "the prof wont like you very much after you sleep." -> This is part of the reason why I like small classes, 'cuz I tend to pay more attention there. Also, it could be that you just had a bad prof for the small class, and a good one for the bigger ones. Personally, assuming I get goo d prof either way, I'd choose the smaller class. I get the community feel, and in first year, the relatively smaller math classes I had were where I made a lot of friends in. Anyway, there are ppl who prefer large classes, and there are also ppl who prefer small ones.
