I am in theatre so a lot of my classes are quite small, usually no more then about 15-30ish
I like it better that way, more intimate and an easier learning environment

I'm at Glendon. So it's a small school with small classes. I had five classes this semester. The classes went from 15 to 30 students which is good because the teacher is able to interact with the students!smile

Theres about 100 people in every grade in this high school. Grades 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, so 500 students.

At York U, I've had between 40 and 500 people. I find it really depends on what year you are in. The first year classes tend to have many more students in them than subsequent years.

Most of my classes have between 130-300 people in them with one teacher. We have a few TAs but they only run tutorial sessions.

Ok... so I'm in university right now, and I have between 130-550 students in one class with one teacher. The only interaction we get is through clickers during lecture.

I guess it depends on the class and the level of the class.

My earlier university classes, intro level, had plenty and then some. I enjoy my senior seminar classes now, where I may have 10 to 15 students. Small and perfect for active debating and learning..

What do you guys think the perfect size is?
