glad to see you're doing what YOU want to do though and giving people who want to go the opportunity instead of riding the fence. makes me proud haha I totally agree THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I could not say that enough I am unfortunately one of the few who are on the fence. (I think I'll decide after going this saturday.) It still hasn't shown up on OUAC yet so it doesn't really matter. Don't worry, I don't think they are anywhere close to done with the offers yet. My friend hasn't gotten her acceptance yet and she is a stellar student: 97 average, a dozen club and teams (runs half of school).

Nope, third of five. I think it doesn't make a difference in the end. oh ok, that's good...cause some people told me how the ranking actually matters, and I don't think I put it as my top choice...so ya... thanks

Anybody already in health sci living in rez have anything to say about single rooms (pros/cons)? dude, there are people here who didn't get an offer yet for this program. No need to boast here. There are plenty of places (including different forum in this site) where you can get better info about mac rez. You can brag about it somewhere else tool ps I haven't applied to health sci Okay, first of all i'd like to start off by saying that i honestly do apologize to those pple who felt i was bragging, i was only excited and since I was already at my computer checking my e-mail, posting a message on the forum was one of the first things i did without really thinking. so again SORRY. But id just like to say to notgenius, why do u gotta be so bitter and negative for? It seems every post u've written, ur pissed about something which frankly doesn't concern me, but as u mentioned, U DIDN't EVEN APPLY TO HEALTH SCI......so what are u even doing on this forum criticizing pple for??? Kinda pathetic, don't ya think? McMaster BHSc 2012

Hey guys,, this is what was sent to my e-mail
Congratulations in receiving an admission offer to the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) Program at McMaster University for September 2008! As you know this program is limited in enrolment. In order to gauge the number of acceptances we may receive, we would appreciate hearing from you as to whether you plan to accept our admission offer, possibly by Monday, May 12th. On the basis of this we may have better answers for the hundreds of applicants who did not yet receive an offer. Please forward your email response to Sonya Brellisford at brellis@mcmaster.ca.
So,, those of u who are planning on rejecting an offer,, could u guys please do so asap? THX so much,, It is also on OUAC now,,,, anyway thanks.. We really appreciate it

Rejection emails are also being sent out! Yayyyy Just got mine. I'm pretty relieved that there are no more programs to wait for Apparently they will consider you for Mac LifeSci if all you applied to was for BHSc. Quote:Thank you for your application to McMaster's Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program for the September 2008 session. Competition has been very keen for a limited number of places in this program. A dmission decisions are based on a composite of each applicants supplementary application and academic record. Unfortunately, after careful consideration, we are not able to offer you admission to Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours). You will receive a letter in the mail in a few days to confirm this decision. If you have applied only to Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program, we will consider you for admission to the Life Sciences I program. You may be interested to know that once you have completed your first year of studies, you may apply for admission consideration as an internal Level II transfer applicant to Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program. You may review the following site for Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) II admission requirements: http://www.fhs.mcmaster.ca/bhsc/admission/level2.htm.If you would like further information about other programs at McMaster, please see our Future Students website. Thank you for your interest in McMaster University and good luck with the remainder of the school year.

also rejected...and I'm very upset because this was my number one choice and I was in love with the university. I guess I didn't have the stats or whatever. *sigh*...looks like its going to be western biomedical sciences for me...
and I'm taking it that because I got a rejection instead of no answer, it means I never had a chance in heck of getting in?
Anyways, out of curiosity, could everyone post whether or not they were accepted, their top 6 marks, and their ECS? I'm just curious to see if they had any preferences.
Also, a question to those who did not get accepted: are you planning to try to reapply for Level II? Or simply cut your losses and move on completely?
English - 94 (midterm) Functions - 92 (midterm) Biology - 94 (final) Chemistry - 94 (final) World History - 97 (final) Philosophy - 94 (final)

Yup rejected for me too lol.
My plan was not to originally go into health sci (top choice being waterloo), but yea, it still stings knowing that you were not good enough.
What I saw upon opening the email: blah, blah, competition has been very keen, blah, UNFORTUNATELY ----------- we are NOT able to offer you admissions.
Aw well, that's the way it goes. Say, did the people who are being considered for the waiting list not receive the rejection email?

Stating that you have stellar extracurriculars would not help on the supplementary application. Extracurriculars don't tell the people reading the applications what type of person you are.

i got rejected too...though a bit disappointed...my marks weren't that wonderful...
English- 96 Law - 94 Music - 99 Chem - 85 Bio- 88 Adv. Functions - 85
Overall: 91.2
Not that high of an average...o well...maybe McMaster will consider me for Life Sci...since I didn't apply to anything but Health Sci
as for extra curricular...let's just say...some of my friends think I run the school lol

if a lot of people decline their offers to BHSc and Mac will send those out more offers based on peoples decisions to not enroll in BHSc then why did they send out rejection emails? And if you got a rejection email, does that mean that you are for sure not going to BHSc even if a lot of people decline their offers?
