I meditate and do yoga. It really helps, I have taught the techniques to my friends as well and they continue to practice it as they find it beneficial. After meditation, you are so focused, you can just dive into your books!

I'm a music person. If I'm stressed I either listen or play and just forget about everything else for a while. Also, when I'm stressed during tests and such it really helps to be concious of your shoulders. Try and keep them down. If you get all tense your neck seems to disappear lol.

Hooray for music people! Yeah, practicing sometimes helps, or mental practicing (my favourite kind). Just put on some music, or take a bath if your dorm has an easily accessible one, if not, then just stand in the shower for 10 or 15 minutes. Make popcorn and eat it all by yourself... even take a nap if you have to (but set your alarm).

For me, I don't really get stressed very easily... but when I do, I like to take a deep breath and just do some breathing exercises. If that doesn't work, I just type and type all of my emotions and feelings out on the computer, or whatever is available. Writing soothes my soul.

The best stress relivers that i consider 1) Doing cardio every day for atleast 15 minutes. This reduces your stress levels by huge amount 2) Drinking Green Tea- Healthy for your body and also reduces stress levels by a significant amount. U burn calories as well.

my ways of stress relief are the following: reading (good romance to take your mind off things) latch-hook rugs! (nothing like mindless activity to clear the mind!) sudoku (re-focus and gets the mind working) excercise! (walk with the dog, resistance training or pilotes) take a nap! go for a quick drive swing on a swing set cleaning something (getting it out of the way) hope that helps

The best for me is playing guitar. I feel like a whole load is taken off my shoulders when I play. Drums work too, play the double kicker until you can't breath and you feel awesome
Writing usually gets me more on edge, but it gets my emotions out, and I end up feeling better once its on paper.
Driving around with the tunes blarin' is also great. Especially Punk and Heavy metal. NOFX, Pantera, Slipknot, anything thats either stupidly happy, angry or a mix of the the two.

I skip over the past 6 pages of posted info and post what I feel like, without regard to what's already on the board ...no really, that's what i do, it's how I vent without the trouble of starting up a new topic. and it works. I also like to listen to music, sit outside or alone somwhere and just think or write down to organize, make lists of anything really, just writing lists is therapeutic to me, for whatever reason. It's a nice false sense of security and certainty. And I like to bake or craft when i'm stressed.

Yoga is a nice way to relieve stress and calm down. You feel really refreshed afterwards.

what do I do to relieve stress....well, I just bottle it all up inside and then lash out randomly at people who don't deserve it... JK....ummmm I try to get some exercise, or at least some fresh air. Hugs work well and sleep is a good one....funny movies and chocolate work too!

It seems to me the best way to relieve stress is to completely take your mind off of what's stressing you out for a little while. I tend to do things that require little to no thinking in order to relax - watching tv or exercising or even sleeping all seem to help. Trying to do work while you're freaking out tends to just result in work that isn't as good as it could be.
