Oh & everyone knows nothing feels better than playing GTA3 or Liberty City Stories to get some RAGE out AND not end up in prison!! ^_^

Sometimes I find just getting out for a while helps me to relieve stress, or listening to good music or just chilling out with some friends.

Stress, to some degree, being ever present, needs to be dealt with in ways appropriate to the amount of time you can spare! If you're racing to meet a deadline, remembering to give yourself even a few minutes break to refocus and breathe can be immensely helpful.
This could mean stretching, having a glass of water, and re-evaluating the priorities of the project you're working on. If you've got a bit of time to spare, allowing yourself some luxury or rewards can be the key to reducing stress levels...
Watching a favourite television program, calling a friend or relative for a reminder that you're special to someone, getting some hugs or cuddles, taking a bath (y'know North American boys just don't embrace this enough!), writing in a journal, spending some time on a hobby, going for a walk in a beautiful area... These are the sorts of things that help.
Keeping your priorities in order is a practical route to avoiding stress, and always giving yourself something to look forward to helps to keep you motivated.

I find going out for a walk or a jog in the early morning to be the best way to relieve stress. When I say early, I mean before 8am! You could release whatever is causing you stress because there would not be a whole lot of people out. It is a good time to just have alone time.
If you are stressing over projects, assignments, or tests, just give yourself a break and find out what is giving you the stress. I like setting up a schedule for myself telling me when I need to complete something. This helps in managing my time.

Weird. Stress makes me concentrate even harder on the task rather than go off and do something to get rid of it.

^ Stress actually improves your memory too. That is why if you have ever had to cram like mad for an exam, you can surprisingly learn a lot of stuff in a short period of time. Of course, constant stress for a long time has numerous negative health effects (e.g. puts fat around your stomach, reduces the strength of your immune system, causes cardiovascular problems, etc...), not to mention making life miserable. It's probably a good thing to stress out while studying for an exam, but you don't want stress to take over the rest of your life.

I would consider myself a relatively stressed individual, which is why I have several methods which I have devised to keep focused on what is important. Several years ago I started taking yoga classes. This helped emensely as I was able to forget all about my problems and school and focus on myself. In yoga class, I did a lot of meditation and breathing exercises. This allowed me to focus my energy on the positive aspects in my life, allowing me to be more efficient. Next, I started sports. I do both feild hockey and rugby. While playing both sports I am able to focus on my body and leave the stress of the other aspectst of my life behind me. Working my stress off for these few hours each week really helps and I recommend that others give it a try! The last thing I do to relieve stress is read. While reading I am able to focus my attention by peering in on someone else's life and be apart of an imaginary world completely forgetting about school and other aspects of life that cause stress. I hope my suggestions help others cope with stress.

I find that when it comes to stress I go to the gym, or take it all out at Tae Kwon Do, or I listen too music or just jam out on one of my guitars!

With stress it's best to set aside some time just to lay down and sleep. Oh how I love to sleep. Also, sewing really focuses me, in a good way. However, as always, music(Pantera, Stone Sour, Evanescence, Led Zeppelin, Mozart) is amazing with some comfort food and the ever interesting Dickens or Austen. Great way to decompress.

Turning up my favourite songs and singing along at the top of my lungs. You'll get weird looks from family members or someone pounding on your door but hey, that's part of the fun. :]

To get rid of my stress, I play any kind of sport. I prefer hockey because it's my favorite sport but you can play any sport really. Just the physical endurance and your concentration on what your doing makes you forget about what your stressed about. You can also just hang out with your friends and either talk to them about it or just do something to make you forget about it. That's how I get rid of my stress. Just try it and see how it works and tell me how you feel.
