That's only because I applied for a major scholarship, they let all applicants know early. Don't worry at all.

Got in both places I applied, although I've got good grades so it's not really a problem.

U of Ottawa, Poli Sci and Comm.
U of Winnipeg, Arts.

Exciting. For those who applied to a zillion schools/programs, why did you do it? Were you unsure about what you wanted to do/where you wanted to go?

Yeah, I applied to 8 programs... although I didn't really need to. Most people have a few, and in rare cases more... but then there's people like me, ahah.

Accepted:
Western - Foods & Nutrition
Western - Biological & Medical Sciences
Waterloo - Biomedical Sciences
Ryerson - Nutrition
Guelph - Nutrition
McMaster - Life Sciences

There's also Queen's Life Sci... I didn't get early acceptance to that, so I don't know about that one. My choices are leaning towards not-as-competitive programs to get in.... but still, I'm shocked that universities are sending out early acceptances... so EARLY! Back in the days, you would know in like May.

And I guess more university choices = more options/doors to choose? It's an assurance type of mentality.... although money is O_O

U of T International Relations- accepted
Glendon International Studies- accepted
Western King's College Social Sciences- accepted
Still waiting to hear from Arts and Science at McMaster

York is really big on recruitment. They offer a lot of early acceptance. They have visited my school a bunch of times and they have so many opportunities for future students and parents to meet teachers and current York students. I think it's pretty effective. It makes York seem like a friendly environment and they will work hard to for their students.

Accepted to U of Ottawa for History and Double History/Poli Sci degree.

Still waiting to hear from Queen's Arts. frown
I had a 92 grade eleven average and 94 first semester, so I don't know why they haven't accepted me yet.

@abfab12 - I'm pretty sure Queen's doesn't look at marks until April (or maybe they start looking at your package when you submit your PSE). I think they do offer early admission to exceptional students but that's if you submitted your PSE really early on.

I only want to go to two universities as a choice. Waterloo and York for enviornmental studies. I was kinda worried because unlike many people I didn't apply for many universities at all. But thankfully I got into both in January!
