my high school was pretty neat. it was one of the largest in my hometown, and had a really awesome art program. it didn't, however, have a cafeteria so i missed out on experiencing the "lunch lady."
bummer.

Hey, I'm just new at this so no making fun. Bt I go to the only High School in my town which is 8-12 and right across the street are all the fastfood joints in our town pretty much. SO many kids go there for breakfast, lunch, and probably en supper. So our school doesn't need a cafeteria, so i also have never gotten any experience with it. I may when i go to college next year though.

Our school is located in Etobicoke. The caf food is mostly unhealthy choices, and I think the school board can easily produce better selections

My highschool isn't bad...could use alot of work though. The cafeteria is extremely small- probably 1,300 kids at my school and only 300 seats available seats...you can't even push your chair out all of the way because it is so crowded. As for the food...it's not very good either- fries are always soggy, bread is always stale. I'm Glad i'm moving on to bigger and better things haha.
** we do have a great tech department though...Mike Holmes is coming to it to do a presentation on May 23rd.

My High School is quite big in size but it has gotton sooo crowed over the years. We have three lunches so it's not too crowed but if you're stuck having the last lunch, a big pile of garbage and food remains welcomes you.
The lunch is mostly unhealthy, I think. And if you have the last lunch, there is hardly any good stuff left. Mostly everyone goes out for lunch, especially in the summer, since we have a plaza right behind our school.
Oh yea, and I have experience with the typical lunch lady...chef

About 1500 kids, one of the oldest schools in the city. Used to be 10-12, now 9-12 (grade 9s are "traditional learning")

Biggest high school gym in western Canada (apparently). Used to have a good reputation, but has been falling down the ranks the past few years. Football team have been city champions quite a few times.

40% drop out rate (haha), great cafeteria curly fries and cookies (everything else sucks), Starbucks a few blocks away.

New principal is strict, trying to improve school. Just introduced the Advanced Placement program (which is great, but my year doesn't have it, the next year will though). Traditional Learning (grade 9s, they wear uniforms and have strict rules or something).

The teachers are wonderful, but the students are all drug addicts and underachievers (except me, I suppose). Not a lot of kids leave the city for university. Last year, like one kid went to UBC and a few to U of A, this year I know a kid going to St. FX but that's about it.

My school is the LARGEST in our school division (more than 1150 students, about 100 staff). The cafeteria food is alright but they have recently changed the menu due to our new health policy (no carbonated drinks, potato wedges instead of fries, etc.) The best thing about my school is that it is only five minutes away from the mall so people usually go there for their lunch. angel

really? my school is the smallest one in the region and we have about 1300 students. The largest school in the city has over 2000 (but they're about 100 over their quota). I'm betting there are schools in the gta or montreal that beat even that however. I'm surprised though, as you live in Winnipeg. I would have thought capital cities would have relatively large schools.

Eh, it was so-so, 1200 students, tiny cafeteria.
Out of 210 graduates, one went to Queen's, 4 to McGill, 2 to Western and 1 to UBC. Most people stay in Toronto.

I go to a pretty small highschool, around 500 students. It's really great and fun and everyone pretty much knows eachother.

Caf food is crap though.

My school is really small ,theres ony 400 students and 4 hallways... everyone does know everyone, but thats not always a good thing, theres always drama. Our caf foor isnt really that good. The nearest highschool is 20 minutes away (1 hour bus ride) and all they have in that town is pizza..

I go to a school of about 1000 students. It can get pretty crowded. Plus, our school is poor. However, it has a reputation of incredible math and science students. We've represented Canada in math and science olympiads a few times embarrassment Our cafeteria is mediocre and the mall nearby got demolished. Boo frown

My school has ~450 kids from Grades 1-12, so pretty tiny in comparison to all of yours!
