I think it's just interesting to see people get together and talk about this scholarship. It is a great opportunity to aid your financial sitation and on top of that you get to socialize! I know alot of High School Seniors are stressed out about moving on to Uni feeling unprepared (so do I!) but scholarships really do help. I'm a lucky one that has good grades, but I also work 23+ hours a week; I'm afraid I'll be overly tired when I get to University. So not only does this forum get us the possiblity of a well deserved scholarship, but it lets us get support from others who are in the same situation as us... I find it's a rather good and soothing idea!

While their promotion might help them save up to the $500, its busy with spam posts, for the most part atleast.

I agree this is an awesome opportunity, but it doesn't replace those essays which have to be written for other essays since well while $100 does help, my tuition is significantly more then that, and it is only going up, not down. $100 is better than nothing though and this is a pretty good way to get people chatting on the message boards and get people interested in them.

Yah honestly that is so true. The last year is just hectic for everyone, trying to manage and balance so many things, worrying if any post-secondary school will ever accept you because your marks aren't necessarily the greatest, and if they are there is a great deal of competition. It's nice to be able to just enter a simple contest where you don't have to do too much, to be possibly rewarded. This is an excellent competition!!
