Whoever came up with the forum five contest needs a promotion. It made your forum so much busier than ever before.

I think it was some promotional thing because they just started up a forum and wanted people to come. Good call on their part.

who every thought of this is AWSOME! people dont really realize how much stess, and work that we get in our last year of high school. we worry about applying to the right schools, getting good grades and on top of that some scholarships want us to writ a 5,000 word essay? i dont know about you, but i dont have time to do that. its hard enough trying to get homework done, work 15+ hours a week and do extra events/ sports out side of school. theres also course like for an ECE were you need certain things to be even aloud in the course, like first aid. i dont know how i'm every going to be ablwe to apply for all these scholarshiops and still maintain an 85 average and go for my black belt. i guess the black belt gets but on hold for the time being. which sucks because its something i've worked for, for over 8 years.

Im so glad this is award is offered. Applying for scholarships and frantically searching for school funding can be such a hard and lonely process. I'm glad this offers an aspect of interaction with other students with similar goals.

you know what, this "post to win" stuff is kinda awesome. I like to write (yeah, im weird) but to write 500000 word essays to banks and organizations-(shake my fist)-that probably don't read more than a sentence, is a bummer. So I agreee with a previous note: whoever thought of this post and you could possibly, but not likely, is genius!

Yes, yes, I agree, this is an excellent idea so connect students, knowing we're all suckers for cash. It's silly really that we need money to get connected with students all over Canada when the internet is at our fingertips...

I really think that this is great as well. I mean sure we all have chances at scholarships (if not... its likely you're not trying hard enough) but not ENOUGH chances. You do not win every one you apply for and when you have to write an essay for each one it gets pretty ridiculous, especially if you have things due in school around the same time as scholarship deadlines. I think the most important thing when looking for opportunities for financal aid is LOOKING. Alot of people complain without really putting themselves out there. When you think about it, they are only hurting themselves!
