Some of the applications for scholarships are ridiculous!! Some I haven't bothered to apply for because I fear my pen will explode.

Cheers for an easy scholarship! Still, it's a good thing that not all scholarships are based primarily on luck.

I have been putting off the whole applying for scholarship thing for so long now. Yes, some of them are pretty long. =.= I bet the scholarships during the beginning on the year was easier to get then the last minute ones XD

I agree Applications do take a lot of time.. In my case it just got my hopes up and took a lot of my time. It is kind of depressing when not many recognize your achievements just because someone else is even more amazing!

I so agree with everyone that waiting around for replies suck. My biggest annoyance was I once recieved a response for one and was told that I was chosen as an alternate, so if someone else screws up then I'm qualified to get the scholarship.

Yeah, it is tiring to fill out those never-ending application forms which repeat the same questions over and over again. I like the idea of this scholarship because it's simple and it's straight to the point. Unlike the other scholarships they have a minimum of 10 pages to fill out! And the worst part is that when you have to write an essay or paragraph on a question they give you, you have to either print it and paste it on the lines provided or put it on a type-writer or something. It's such a hassle, but I still do it anyways because scholarships are worth the going back and forth and tumbling around in circles! Even if my fingers can barely move from writing for 3 hours, I would still do it anyways even if in the back burner of my brain, I really want to fall on my bed and sleep! If it helps my post-secondary finances, it's worth the pain and fatigue!

Well, here's to quick cash! That is, if I win. I must have applied for a million different scholarships and I haven't heard back from any. The ones that aren't over yet are hard to wait for! Hopefully my luck increases because this is seriously disheartening. Honours English Major/History Minor, York '12

this way is so much easier to win some money for post secondary, filling out those applications and writing essays started to drive me crazy.
