Once again, your spam messages don't count as five thoughtful posts that contribute to the forum's usefulnessexclamation

At least try to start some sort of meaningful conversation or discussion, without outright spamming to get free money.

i can say it's extremely tiring and takes too much time... but if it gets me some money, its worth it. I look at it like working. If I spend a couple of hours on a scholarship, and actually do get, let's say $1000, then that was like working at my real job, and the time spent on it wasn't a waste.

This seems kind of pointless, to make 5 posts, luckily it wasn't more, cause it would all just be a pile of people talking about nothing.

there was one scholarship that i filled out- talk about canada- where you were supposed to answer a 51 question quiz and get every answer right-and I got all the answers right...however i got this great little message that said " thanks for participating, you have 51/51, we didnt choose your entry"

....... nothing like $100 give away to raise the spirits again lol good luck everyone!

Same with me too... I was very disappointed in that scholarship. Then again, almost all of the answers were right in the pages they directed us to for hints...

I think that this is a nice break from applying for most scholarships. It's hard working full time, attempting to lead a normal life, and try to write essay after essay for scholarships all the time. I don't mind writing, but sometimes it doesn't seem to be getting me anywhere. Good luck to everyone!

Amen to not having to spend a full 24 hours filling out, printing, correcting, rewriting, reprinting, retyping, buying transcripts, signing forms, asking for letters from teachers, trying to mail things with way too many stamps just to have your application thrown in the garbage! Thank you Student Awards you should get an award for this one! Through my own personal experience many of the bursaries that could potentially help you out are already taken, you know the saying no matter how good you are at something there is ALWAYS someone better. I'm sure it applies to scholarships too.

applications just make you feel like you haven't done anything with your life
"sure... you have a perfect average... but how many extracurriculars have you done?
what? you mean to say that spending all that time getting perfect marks didn't leave time for the sowing club? how dare you!!
you are NOT worthy
you should go and apologize to the sowing club"

Filling out aplications is definetly a long process. I do get tired of it, but if it will help me to be debt free, then bring it on. Even this, i was thinking my answers should be in depth, hopefully it will get my closer to being able to pay for school. But who knows. 2 more posts to go!

Sometimes I wonder if its worthwhile at all. Writing essays, filling out forms, and nothing comes in. I'm not so upset about a simple form, but when you take the time to research and write an essay and nothing comes of it, makes it feel like you are wasting your time!
