so, I'm trying to choose between Laurier and McMaster for a Humanites program. I'm really active at my school in clubs, Students' Council, and I was wondering if either of those universities are good for getting involved. I've heard wlu is a great place for volunteering, and doing stuff like that, but I haven't heard anything good or bad about mac.
help???

Yeah we have an amazing scene for getting involved. There are clubs for every interest and our student government is really influencial. You can get involved in student politics in first year in many ways: through the IRC (the residence government system, become a rep for your building) the FYC (council made up of first years, part of the larger Mac student union, you get to represent all first years) or running for a year rep position with your faculty society. This would continue your interest in student council type work. Check out http://www.msu.mcmaster.ca/clubs/listings.php for a rough listing of Mac clubs, there are more than that as well! What field of humanities are you hoping to pursue? 1 We are from Mac! 2 A little bit louder! 3 I still can't hear you! 4 more more more... that sounds pretty good. Looks like there's a big Students' Union, which is nice.
i'm looking at maybe going into philosophy. I'm not really sure, which is why the humanities 1 program is good.
