finally got accepted to Laurier for their business administration program! i went to see the campus today and it was definately different lol lots of school spirit, it was my first choice so i'll be going there for sure! smile I got into Mcmaster for business as well, but the CO-OP that laurier offers is a much more attractive package...what do you guys think?

Has anyone else gotten any acceptances for laurier in general?? smilesmile

awesome! film studies sounds interesting razz the entering average for the business program was mid to high 80's and the average they used was a combination of my highest grade 11 marks and my grade 12 first semester i think - my average was 88%

Have you been to the campus? what did you think of it?

I haven't been to the campus sadly but I've seen the maps. The residences are right in the center so its easy to get where you want I've got mid 70s so I'll probably hear something around April I have a friend going there for BAA or something I dunno. I took a few virtual tours at the residences They look pretty good the double rooms look kinda small.

Accepted for Journalism in January.
I feel like a black sheep, haha, it seems everyone goes to Laurier for Business, understandably.

Yea for business

I went to the campus too on Friday and it seemed pretty cool especially their athletic complex... olympic sized pool, rock climbing and a huge gym...

as for the co-op at laurier i definitely agree cause the tuition isn't that high so a lot of grads end up paying off their debt soon after they graduate! It's almost a little sad cause not that many people know about Laurier as its overshadowed by Waterloo in Waterloo, ON! But I know definitely that Laurier has a good business program.

Torn between that and Waterloo... went to the Waterloo open house and liked it there too and Waterloo also has an awesome accounting program so I dunno... hopefully I'll get accepted into Waterloo too so I can choose =P

Accepted for History, but they were my 2nd choice, and then a few days after that acceptance I got into my 1st.

Not going to Laurier anymore, but I'm thinking of teaching or law after my undergrad, or maybe both, become a teacher to work for a while and save up for law school. I know a teacher at my school who is leaving after this year to go back to school for a Masters, and he's only been teaching for about 4 years.
