If I'm taking Summer courses, do I need to make sure I save enough money from my fall/winter OSAP to cover the summer? I read that there is a Summer OSAP...is this basically OSAP for summer courses, with the same coverage as regular OSAP, or is it different in any way?

Right from OSAP's site:

Quote:
If you attend summer classes full-time, you will receive the grant for the summer semester in the second instalment of your funding.

So if you're enrolled in summer courses, your funding would be given to you in January.

Hmm? But we can't even enroll in summer courses at York until after January?

From a Google search, it appears that universities have forms ready for you to fill out ahead of time in order to indicate how many credits you plan on taking over the summer. Seeing as you're from York, good luck with that.

It seems that your school should have some sort of early notification though so that you can receive your funding with the January instalment. Here is York's application process for last year's summer OSAP funding. It should be pretty similar to what they did last year.
