Hey I am pretty sure almost every business school is accredited by the ICAO. I know for sure Ivey, Schulich, Toronto, Ryerson, Waterloo, Laurier.

As for the best from what I have been hearing..
1-Schulich
2-Waterloo
3-U Toronto/Ivey/Laurier

Right now, only Brock, Queen's, Toronto, and WLU are accredited.

actually if u scroll to the bottom of the page, you'd see that Waterloo is also accredited smile.

That is a Master's program...

University of Waterloo Graduate Admission Requirement:

A 75% overall standing in the last two years, or equivalent, in an Honours Bachelor's degree or equivalent is the minimum requirement for admission to a Master's program at the University of Waterloo. Departments/Schools and Faculties may set higher admission requirements.

* Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management
* BMath Chartered Accountancy Studies, or
* BSc Chartered Accountancy Studies, and

2. Candidates are required to attain at least a 75% average of their best five 4th year AFM courses.

For those MAcc applicants who entered their University of Waterloo undergraduate accounting program before 2006 and who do not satisfy the minimum 75% overall average in the last two years but who have a four year overall average of at least 75%, they shall be deemed to have at least a 75% overall average in the last two years.

LOL ahad, chill smile
stringer, so what if it's a master's program? the undergraduate accounting degree+MAcc takes a total of 5 years including co-op. it won't kill you to take that extra year to get a masters, if a CA is what you know u want.

What's your point? You just proved that it's a Master's program, which I already pointed out. I don't get what your point is or how I'm "hating" on Waterloo. Their undergraduate programs aren't accredited, get over it.

the undergrad is a mandatory part to getting the masters. theres no reason to rule out waterloo as a path to accounting just because it involves getting two degrees instead of one.

I never said you should, but there are obvious disadvantages in terms of time/cost. The fact is that Waterloo doesn't have an accredited undergrad program.

not really...the great thing about the waterloo programs is that it's 5 years, but you get 16 months of work experience (earning between $50000-$70000) and two degrees...so you end up getting your CA designation at about the same time as any regular commerce program.

Whereas a normal BBA gets a degree in 4 years with 12 months of work experience, not to mention you don't have to pay the cost of a Master's program which offers no benefit in the real world. Cost/benefit analysis seems pretty clear to me on this one...

Now if Waterloo AFM were accredited, this would be a different story.

You don't get 12 months of working experience. It's really hard to get it with a normal BBA. How many months of working experience do you have? If you are to be on track right now, then you should have at least 6 months of working experience. So, do you have that much work experience?

4 months per semester. 1 out of 3 semesters per year is spent working. 3x4 = 12 months.

I have 8 months experience right now. I will have 12 by the end of next summer.
