I would advise emailing someone at McMaster. They can give you a better idea of what GPA you should aim for, and how the transfer would work from your current program (ie what credits (if any) would be transferrable, etc). Mac is usually pretty good at accepting transfer credits.

Did you apply to Mac at all this year? Why did you choose Brock-what's caused this sudden change of heart? If you applied and were accepted at McMaster, but declined and chose Brock, you could always talk to the registrar and see if you could be reconsidered (pending availability in the course). It just seems a waste to do a year in a program you're not interested in, especially if some of those credits can't be transferred to Mac for second year-you'll end up repeating classes!

No I didnt apply to mac business at all and I overlooked that program. But now I feel that is the best program for me right now and I want to transfer to it, how many transfer credits do I need to get into year 2 of the prgram and not repeat year 1? Has anyone transferred to this program, if so what was your gpa around? and how many transfer credits did you get?

Transfer credits are tricky as they're assessed per class. So you would have to find someone that transferred from the specific program you're taking at Brock to the specific program at Mac to get an accurate idea.

It still wouldn't hurt to talk to the registrars office at Mac, perhaps you could submit a late application or start in January if it's the program you really want. Or if you explained your situation and that wasn't a possibility you could see what they say regarding transfer credits-they might be able to give you advice on what courses at Brock you should take that would be transferable to the program.
