Okay, so here's my dillema: I want to take these three courses: advanced functions, english, and a 'u' level course-- maybe world issues? I know that I am going to take advanced functions in night school. now, i don't want to return to my current hs [i graduated in 2008]. instead i want to do these courses at home. I have the choice of either vs or ilc. which one would you think is better (and easier-- i know it's bad but come on) for english and world issues? thank you [[edit: ilc = correspondence]]

English or World issues you shoudl do over ILC. Issues was one of the EASIEST classes ever, I'm sure you'll have no problem with it, as for English, if you've had no problem in any other grade then ILC should be fine. Good idea with taking Functions in night school!

hello. thank you! is functions hard in night school? is there a reason why you recommend doing english through ilc rather than virtual school? have you taken world issues through ilc? thank you again

I personally can't do math to save my life, so I always find it easier to have a physical teacher there to answer your questions. I took Issues during normal school and could have easily completed it, and probably with a better grade doing an ILC. I think ILCs give you more freedom, so if you find you need due dates and structure than take a virtual school class. ILCs you're not stuck to a compuer all day, but the marking may be harder because all you're handing in is writing assignments. Virtual school you have a teacher, so you may choose to do that. Issues was really really easy though, I think the hardest thing was a test I had to take right at the beginning where my teacher made us memorize the world map, with basically every country on it. he'd write down 20-odd numbers correlating to a country on a map and you had to identify all of them. That was the extent of the difficulty.
I think the choice of virtual school vs ilc will have to be made depending on how you find you learn the best.

thank you for your replies. Do you (and anyone else) know if English would be better to do through ILC and World Issues through VS, or vice versa? I received an 80 in grade 11 english, if that helps. thank you.
