I wouldn't say McGill has the *best* location. Montreal's certainly my fave city (of the very few I've been to), but I would not want to have to climb that stupid mountain every day between classes!
Obviously, the "program" thing will vary between people

Which Queen's filtering method?? There's ones post-acceptance too!
I know I'm biased, but I would say Queen's' school pride is above and beyond Western's...but Western still beats most.
UBC's weather: RAIN?!?!?!
Guelph's food: Never tried it, but I've heard it's awesome, and (based on University-funded food, not the more independent cafes etc.) it's gotta be better than Queen's and UofT combined!
Waterloo's co-op: DEFINITELY!!!!!!!! Although their employment rates have dropped significantly over the past few years...but still better than anywhere else.
UofT's recognition and funding: recognition = very true; funding = ??? In terms of what?!

Not the ONLY, but by far the most widely known. Waterloo's known for sure in the IT and engineering world. Think: Bill Gates. He's announced on numerous occassions that he loves recruiting from there. Queen's and McGill are also quite well known by the Ivy Leagues.

Ummmm...UBC and SFU are WEST. And UBC's always widely praised!

Seen by who??? It's certainly good, but not top 4....though it is program-dependent.

you can enjoy every second of that beautiful scenery, the river, the forests, the trails, everything! All this while learning.. it's pretty awesome.
I agree. When I visited there in grade 12, my exact words were, "I'd definitely love this place the most if it weren't for the reputation." I often wish I HAD gone there...it's true what they say, where you went for your undergrad means NOTHING. I know you don't want to believe that while you're applying during high school--I certainly didn't!!!--but you quickly figure out it's so true.
....I give up on reading the rest!
My 2 cents: You should be looking at the whole university, not just specific programs. For example, Waterloo CS and Eng are fantastic, but their arts programs aren't even close to most other schools; Waterloo is too focused on its "known" programs. Also, Waterloo's taken quite a few tumbles the past few years!! I personally think McGill and Queen's are the best, depends on your tastes. I do NOT like UofT--you truly are a number, and it takes a lot of effort to make a single friend. At most other places, knowledge about extra-curriculars, seminars, concerts, etc. seem to fall in your lap; at UofT, you look out for yourself--and the real world is not like that at all.
