I will be going to first year studies in the fall. There is a PCAT date for Jan 24. Now I think I should not do this one because i won't be thorughly prepared. My question is when I'm done first year around May will there be enough PCAT dates to choose from, do the test and apply for bsc pharm?
Also when you are IN bsc pharm, can you still apply to medicine?
I just think pharmacy is a good backup to fall back on if you don't get into medicine.
Thoughts? Comments?

You can get into medicine with any degree, as long as you have completed the prerequisite courses.

If you want to do the PCAT in may, you would have to apply to the 2010 application cycle. The deadline for PCAT for the 2009 cycle is in january. In 2010, the faculty will require at least 2 years of university studies, just so you are aware.
You can apply to medicine while you're in pharmacy, but it will be a lot harder to get good grades while you're in pharmacy. Pharmacy is more intensive and has a higher workload than the faculty of arts and science.
