Its not a very demanding field right now. But its really worth something, its gaining interest. You might make alot of money depending on what type of job and effort you put in. But you need to have an edge in imagining and thinking creatively during problem solving... or else you might as well take economics and probability math. you will also need to learn to do alot of programming. You need to be very good at math. Its pretty much like engineering thinking, but you concentrate on solving problems using math, science and statistics..... but i dont think its very demanding right now, but it can be a very very fascinating field... you plan to get into it?

you mean to say its not "in demand" saying its "not demanding" is to say it is not challenging

You have to write 8 exams after graduation. Not sure what these exams are, but my friend's on her 3rd one

Waterloo has a very good actsci program so I would recommend looking there. I believe Western and UT also offer actsci as a major.
It is very math intensive and it is pretty difficult. You have to write a lot of exams after, here at UW most people write a couple before graduation and then will keep writing once they are done. I haven't written any but they sound pretty intense.
If you really enjoy math and are very good at it, this could be a good field to consider. Usually the jobs are in insurance I believe, although of course there are some jobs outside of that.
