So, we have about 1 month left until IT starts again What habits do you guys/girls plan to change or improve upon next year? Any new strategies for next year? new aims/goals?

I keep planning to do the same school-wise.
My goal for the year is to actually get to play in a game for Pandas Rugby (last year I was on the team but never played, the usual story for many first year athletes).
Not sure what else I'd like to do yet. I'm the kind of person that likes to wait til stuff happens before I make a decision.

Yeah. Although I'm not very big, I'm just really fast (winger) and in general a smart player. People are usually shocked that I play rugby when I tell them. My boyfriends parents thought I played non-contact.

I want to be more organized. I already have my outlook calendar set up, so I aim to follow and maintain it. I also plan on doing all my homework (unlike high school), otherwise I'll probably die. My main goal is to use my time efficiently so I can maximize my learning and enjoy the free time I have.

9/10 classes over 80 is my goal. Time to crack down and study soon. Also, I'm interested in getting a U of T engineering anti-calendar started to help people with picking electives. Anyone interested in helping? I've already talked to VP academic and he thought it was a good idea and mentioned that there were talks of it years ago but it never got off the ground.

I'm sure you've seen the artsci anti-calendar. I want to get one up and running except for engineering. I don't have any details yet, but I'll keep you informed if you're interested. Once I get back to Toronto, I'll start figuring things out.

Yeah I have a lot to change. Got a 72% average first year, 76% second year which I found a lot harder than first year but I never went to class. This year I have courses that I will suck at, I am sure. Gotta go to class this year, study more, waste less time, and maybe get a job.

I'm hoping for above 95 in all courses, and to get into honours EE. Other than that...I've already started organizing a Dragon Boat team (since McGill doesn't have one anymore) and I want to join the varsity fencing team. Oh, and I want to start a female engineer support club.

That's quite ambitious Username13.
I'd like to see if I can find a decent part time job that I can manage. We shall see.

Always set high goals so you don't aim too low and if you're motivated enough, you can always improve, no matter how far short of your goals you fall. I'm actually aiming for 100 in everything...but I'm trying to keep realistic too. xP Planning anything in the volunteering department, Karla?

I'm always volunteering with rugby and stuff like that. I'm on my clubs exec and run the clubhouse and varsity athletics gets involved with a lot of stuff too.

Well, I'm coming out of high school so I have no idea what I'm going to do since most of you say that high school doesn't prepare you for university. But I'll be sure to use the great tips I got on this forum.
