CIV101: $50 - Little scribbles here and there, can be erased, I'll erase. Most likely the same book for CIV100 (edit 7/24/08)
MSE101: $50 - Some scribbles, can be erased. Will include CD too.
ECE110: $90 - Includes the electricity and magnetism book, as well as the circuits book.
MAT188: $80 - This is the new version that was printed just recently, due to a shortage of the old version. No scribbles or anything.

Get them fast! Last year I didn't get MAT188 until 3 weeks in! The discount book store sold out, regular book store was out and there was virtually no supply in the upper-year market!

The course descriptions for 100 and 101 sound the same. They just changed the name. Maybe the course will have less of a civil engineering focus and more of a general physics focus.

I hate how they change the courses every year, and some of them are poorly designed.... LIKE APS104 (MSE/Phys chem)

thank god I didn't have to take that lol

but as for books, you never know, they usually change at least 1 or 2 of the textbooks every year so it's probably not too smart to be advertising now.. I had a lot of problems with frosh who were pissed off that bought books that were changed

just gotta be smart with using google haha.. i usually put in googles search box: "book name rapidshare" that usually gives me a link from a website that has hosted the pdf file on rapidshare.. you can replace rapidshare with megaupload or any of the large mainly used file share hosting websites
