I didn't get my official report card but I went to exam review and my teacher showed me my marks.

Calc and Vectors: 95 (finished a while ago at night school)
Data management: 97 (joke course at my school I guess..)
French: 75 (down from 90 at midterm)
Bio: 65 (down from like 80...failed the exam. literally. lol aka 45%)

Okkkk sooo. Lowest marks I have ever gotten in my life. I didn't think this was possible lol.
I had plans to go to BC this summer for Explore/french boot camp at UVic. Because I really wanted to work on my french.
But I dunno. Is it a better idea to redo my bio in summer school to prep for university?

I didn't find the course too hard... mostly because I just sort of refused to do anything near the end of the semester and stressed myself out with uh.. university residence and didn't bother studying for my exams. At all.

Could I just review the notes I have, get a copy of the textbook and read it myself?
Or should I cancel my BC plans?
The last two aren't part of my top 6 so I don't think I'll have my acceptance revoked (omfg will I?),
and I still somehow got honour roll and ontario scholar...
but what should I do? I mean i've graduated and stuff so it seems pointless, but I don't want to flunk out of first year.
And at the same time I'm pretty determined to work my ass off in university...
could i just relearn everything in first year?
(Yeah i plan on taking bio 1st year.. maybe I shouldn't?)

You'll be fine, go to BC; enjoy while you still can.

You clearly weren't stupid before you got accepted. It seems like classic senioritis.

dudeeeee. definitely don't do summer school. seriously, you're taking a gamble that your teacher/class will be any good. think about it - it's grade 12 bio in summer school - so i'm guessing lots of students will either be taking it because they failed it in school and it's a prereq. you'll learn nothing and just waste a month. whereas french in bc is totally once in a lifetime type thing - and knowing french will be much useful next year than stupid grade 12 bio.

if you're really set on freaking yourself out over not learning anything, then just borrow the textbook from the library or read over your notes again. but i'm thinking that summer school will be pretty pointless.

I think I'm in your shoes - my bio mark pre-summative and exam was 82, and I studied for the exam for about 1.5 hours and there's no way I passed. And bio is in my top6.

since this isn't related to getting into a university, reviewing textbook should be fine.

Don't bother with retaking it in summer school, just peruse your material. I'm taking my math in summer school only because it brought my average below 90 (89.something) and I lost my scholarship. It makes sense because I can earn more money doing a two week course than working full time.

You do not need to review any of your high school material before you go to university. They will likely review most of it there. Anything that you're unsure of you can review quickly while in school but I wouldn't recommend doing a review in the summer. That's a little ridiculous.

lol the thing is it won't even be review, per se, because I didn't bother learning half the course the first time around.
...still don't bother?

Bah I'm usually not even anal about school work. . . though that might be a bit of a lie.
I'll get the biotextbook pdf and see if I'm motivated to look at it at all.

If you find you're behind in your bio class in university you could probably pick it up fairly quickly by just reading the text book. However I think most first year bio classes follow high school bio fairly closely. I took Biology IB and got university credit for it at the U of A, and I don't think the curriculum was that different from the normal high school curriculum we learn in Alberta, so therefore I conclude the two courses are quite similar.
