I just recently transferred to the broad-based area of Arts and Science at the UofT in Humanities. I have already completed a semester in Materials Engineering, needless to say, my GPA wasn't anything amazing. I hope this year I can do well in my courses in Humanities so I have a better chance of getting into the Health Studies major program, does anyone know the cut-off for this program?

So r u going into ur 2nd year at UT? I'd just like to know why you'd want to transfer to the Health Studies program. Coz I'm struggling about either or not should I go to Waterloo for health studies this fall. I really want to hear your opnions about the program so I can settle with my decisions. Do you think I should just do biological sciences or sth like that ( i wanna go to med school, but have a backfall the sametime) ? thanks a lot!

I don't know really, sorry for the late reply, you probably already made a decision by now. I decided to just transfer out of Materials Engineering because I just don't feel stimulated to continue with it. The nature of the program really doesn't suit me and I don't like what I am studying ( I hated Physical Chemistry after only studying for it for three weeks in second semester) so that's my story. I just want to know the average cut-off for the Health Studies program so I can kind of get an idea of what kind of marks I need in order to get in. If I don't get into health studies this year, I'd have to take a different set of courses the next year and I would have wasted 2 years!! I really don't want to do that and if it's the worst case scenario...then I hope I can speed past whatever backup program I have in three years if possible. Since I already have 2.0 credits transferred from engineering. I have 18 more to do. This year I am getting 5.0, so that's 13 left. If I take four courses each year then that's another 3 years. So in total I am in university for 5 years, same as my engineering buddies. I really want to get into Health Studies, can someone help me out? Those that got in please tell me the average cut-off. Would be immensely appreciated.
