(Can’t find the right place to ask…so just post it here.)
Hi everyone, I am probably going to the U of T Mississauga on August 24. Can anyone tell me how to go to the University by public transit from the Pearson Airport or the Union Station? I will have 3 pieces of luggage with me. (Taxi may be too expensive for me)
I also want to know how to get to the T&T supermarket, which is at 715 Central Parkway West, Mississauga, from U of T Mississauga.
And any shopping mall, amusement park, and arcade centre nearby?

Union Station ---> Square 1 --> Figure out which Mississauga Transit bus goes to UTM.
Square 1 is the closest mall

From Union: You have 2 options: 1) Most recommended for 3 pieces of luggage: Take the Go Train (01 Lakeshore West) to Clarkson Station. Exit the train station to the South Side (opposite side of the parking lot). Take the 110 North to UTM (should have a final destination of Square One). the bus stop is to the left once u exit the doors. Pay for the go train inside union at the counters or at the box, but it`ll cost about 13 bucks i think for hte round trip. And mississauga transit is 2.75. Timewise, the go train only comes around once every hour, so check train schedules beforehand. teh 110 comes around every 20-40 minutes. 2) Take the TTC up to the Bloor/Yonge station, and transfer onto the Bloor line (West bound). Take it to Islington Station. Get off, and go to the Mississauga bus terminal. It's like 2, 3 stairs side-by-side that lead up to different buses. From there, take the 76, 26, or 3 west. I'd recommend the 26. Get off at Square one and take the 110 south. It'll go to South Common, then UTM then Clarkson. To the T & T: use the Mississauga Clicknride/maps. (lifesaver for me  and it'll give u bus times for every stop too. Oh and the Mississauga Square One bus terminal is called "City Centre" and the Islington Subway Station is listed under Toronto, but Union isn't included because there are no direct bus routes from there. Oh, and http://crazedmonkey.com/toronto-transit-map/ is a really useful tool. cross-city map with all the transit systems good luck! ...3 pieces of luggage, jesus christ...

When you say 3 pieces of luggage, you mean 3 big pieces (i.e. you plan on paying extra to the airline) or do you mean, 2 big and 1 little or something? 3 big suitcases would be very difficult to deal with on public transit on your own - if that's the plan, you should look into shipping some stuff via Canada Post or the bus. It's not that bad, and airlines charge a lot for extra bags. This is coming from someone who takes the bus to the airport and has been known to drag big suitcases through about 10cm of unplowed snow on the sidewalk for what would be about a 10min walk normally (my arms hurt after that one..). Even 2 big suitcases is a bit of a pain. Note that Pearson Airport is in Mississauga - I don't know why it would make sense to wind up at Union Station; and a taxi may or may not be that bad. I do know that there's a bus that runs from the airport to the Kipling subway station (or there was about 2 years ago..), but I don't know that that helps you.

oh yeah, taxi's about like 40-50 bucks (3.75 starting, and add .25 for every 170 meters) from teh airport/union plus tip from what i recall. http://www.mississauga.ca/portal/business/taxicabsmississauga's definitely not pedestrian friendly, so i agree with kaylya, it's gonna be a pain walking from stop to stop to utm with that much luggage. take teh cab, if not, at least take the go train.

I think I would go to UT by taxi. Well, I thought that the amount was about $100. $40-50 is a fair price. (But include the luggage fees yet? Or need to pay $20 more?)
There will be a lot of taxi so that I don't need to call one, right?

Taxicabs in the City of Mississauga operate using a meter which measures both distance and time. The current meter rate has been set at $3.25 for the first 170 metres and 25 cents for each additional 170 metres. There is also a charge of 25 cents for each 33 second period that the vehicle is not in motion. Parcels bigger than three cubic feet in size (.085 cubic metres) or over 60 lbs (27 Kilograms) in weight are not covered by this tariff rate and any additional charges for these items should be agreed upon prior to the start of the trip."
it depends on how heavy ur luggage is, or how big it is.

I took a taxi from union station to Mississauga campus once and I think it was around $65. Much faster and easier than taking public transit with luggage though.

hahah I find it funny how someone who hasn't been to Toronto yet is already looking for a T&T to checkout! LOL
I'd say if you're coming in early for school from Calgary spend most of your free time in downtown Toronto before you head to missisauga! Mississauga is rather pretty boring IMO and you'll enjoy your time much more downtown. You'll have 4 more years to spend in Mississauga!

yeah, mississauga is defs a pain in the beeehind without a car, whereas toronto is relatively easy to get around on foot, and theres a lot more to do.

Thanks for the replies. The playdium looks cool (Of coz Hong Kong has a better one XD), but can someone tell me which bus should I take to get there, T&T and Square One?
OT: I heard that UTM students can take some courses in UTSG. Is it true? I want to take some Japanese or Business at UTSG.Can I?

Another OT question. I don't seese any Japanese class in UTM. No Japanese can be studied there? I also know that a student has to study one year before he can take some cources at UTSG
