Hi, this may seem like a silly question but given the circumstances, I can't seem to be getting the answer anywhere else.
How is the "Final average" that the university uses to completely accept or decline the student calculated. Is it: a) Your second semester mark after the final examinations??? or b) The average of your final mark from first semester and the final mark from the second semester?

They calculate your average based on the courses that are prerequisite for your program. For example, to get into engineering at my school your average needs to be over 80%, but it is calculated based on grade 12 physics, chem, math, calculus and english

It's the average of the courses used for admission purposes, the "top 6", usually including prerequisites in Ontario. It doesn't matter when those courses were taken, you could have done one of them in grade 11 or summer school..
