To start off, have you visited the universities and made a shortlist to see which one you like? Although Queen's Science has the highest admission average for sciences on that list (according to publically available information) and Queen's is one of the higher ranked universities according to macleans and globe and mail, you need to come check out the campus and get a feel for it too.

yes, i have visited all the universities. i loved kingston, and queen's campus, however it's far away. as well, i don't know if queen's has the very best science program. i didn't really like mac, and i feel as if western isn't the right fit for me either. so it's pretty much down to waterloo, guelph or queen's.

Guelph for sure. It is beautiful there

i applied to bio-medical sciences at waterloo, so there is no option for co-op.

Guelph has a strong reputation for biological sciences. Also, it's not as big of a university, so you will have more contact with the profs and as for getting into Med school... my grad friends say it doesn't matter which university you go to as long as you have a high GPA and extra curricular activities.
Waterloo is laid back, not too renowned for science, but if that's what you like... Queen's is supposed to be good too... I don't know much about it so I can't help you there ^_^"

i say queen's, just cause that's what I would choose out of your choices. But since you are not comfortable with the distance... go to guelph. If you think you can get over the distance issue, consider queens a little more.

all just my opinion: are you kidding.. queens is totally reputable in science.. They have one of the highest cut offs for their science programs in the province/country. and "Queen's" itself is reputable enough. lol. Plus I think they tied first or second in macleans for the medical/doctoral category? Actually i'm just a HSer so i may not know. But queen's not being reputable is bs. their science facilities are also top top notch. This was my impression in the past year: Guelph - good school esp for veterinary, nutrition sciences; greatest food ever served on campus. waterloo - math, engineering, computer sciences are so good it sticks out like a sore thumb queens - excellent school overall, great rep, great school spirit, guaranteed fun, great academics. Great for business, engineering too, as well as science, and lawish courses. Bad for fine arts + music. /opinion
