I was such a slacker at the beginning of high school, but then I cleaned up my act

Grade 9: 61% average (50% English, 66% Math, 70% Science, 70% Physical Education, 59% Geography, 50% Art, 56% Religion, 70% French) -- I was skipped a lot of classes, but I'm glad I didn't fail anything.

Grade 10: 85% average (75% French, 80% Science, 85% Math, 68% History, 66% English, 89% Biology 11, 98% Careers, 64% Civics, 61% Religion) -- at this point, I was literally thinking of dropping out of high school, then I had therapy..so I didn't

Grade 11: 90% average (85% French 11, 94% Physics 11, 93% Chemistry 11, 86% Math 11, 88% English 11, 98% Accounting 11, 96% French 12, 79% Religion) -- This is the year when I thought of becoming a plastic surgeon

Grade 12: 91% average in first term (98% Advance Functions, 91% Biology 12, 90% Chemistry 12, 84% Religion) and 96% average this midterm (95% Physics 12, 98% Calculus, 100% Accounting 12, 93% Data Management)

I took English 12 (90%) in summer school. I took Law 11 (93%) by correspondence in grade 11. I'm taking Polish 12 right now in night school and so far I have 98% in this class.

I do my homework whenever assigned
I ask for help whenever needed
I write my notes in different coloured pens so I can remember and understand the lessons
I study for tests - not just looking at the notes but actually redoing my homework

There isn't really a trick into doing well in a class..it's all about understanding and practicing...eg. if you're a tennis player, you need to understand the rules, regulation, game play, etc. and you need to practice in order to succeed...

Even if you have the "hardest" teacher..you can still do well in that class as long as you're self-motivated to learn...and stop procrastinating and being pessimistic.

But if you have a crappy teacher, it's best to have a petition and give that petition to the principal so s/he can judge whether the teacher should be replaced or not -- this actually happened to my school, 2 teachers were replaced because they sucked at teaching and marking

I'm starting to notice a trend, and I actually expect about an 89% in third year.

Sad thing is I consider anything less than 85 poor. There used to be a time when I thought anything higher than an 80% was awesome.

Um, why is this under stress therapy?
This is only making people with relatively high averages feel better when they see other people's grades that are lower than theirs, and it stresses out people who have average grades/waiting for acceptances and see 99s and 100s.
atleast imo.... sorry for being a commie guys.

2nd highest in the school.

98s aren't common around here.

Grade 11 was 96%. I got acepted everywhere before my first semester was done, so that's what I got in on.

Grade 12 I've dropped down to a 92% though, but whatever. After acceptances and scholarships it didn't matter anymore.

Study more? I would wager that most university-bound students have enough raw intelligence to get 90+ in every high school course if they worked hard enough. Most of those 90s students just work very hard. Personally I don't think it's worth it but to each his own.

My school goes all year long and its seperated into 4 parts. so here it goes..
First part: 83
Second part: 86
Third part: 89
We're currently in the fourth part soo i don't know how my grades will be now.

The average of all my class together is 87. Not bad, but i want a 90something though.

...you actually think that your marks are determined/affected by the social status of those around you?

Grade 9: 95% - who would have guessed gr.9 ap was easy.

Grade 10: 85% -French brought me down down down (73% Fre)

Grade 11: 96.3% - best year ever razz, got the BEST sci teachers EVER. my french mark skyrocketed 94% big grin (I spent my summer at Montreal, full 2 months)

Grade 12: 86% - ...worst math (83) +English (70) teachers ever. All my favorite teachers either left the school (frustrated with admin) or was transfered to teach AP classes leaving abysmal, competent, uncaring losers teaching crucial courses

-I am seriously not bad at math, I scored 81 on Euclid contest....
