How are Western and Queens when it comes to social scene, partying, and school spirit? I know they are both very school spirit oriented and are party schools, but which is crazier? How are they same/different??
Also, are western and queens really all that snobby? rich people?

Both are awesome and it is hard to say which is crazier, but still friends don't let friends go to Queen's.

Western has more satisfied students according to CUDO (although queens also has good student satisfaction). And that says a lot considering Western is twice the size as queens. They must really be doing something right to satisfy so many students. Western has more variety and is in a better city (london) than queens (kingston) imo. These schools have a long standing rivalry, both in academics and athletics. Queens also has a rivalry with Mcgill. Maybe Queens is just on everybodys target lol.
I like Western better. It also has a nicer, but larger campus. I think Western is crazier than queens, but queens has that whole smack the jackets on the floor thing, and they have the most notorious homecoming.

^ Just because London is bigger doesn't mean it is better. I personally like Kingston better than London (although that might just be because I'm getting tired of London), and I'm saying that as a person who has visited Kingston several times (and lived in London for the last three years).

IMO the Queens campus is beautiful But I haven't seen much of Western campus (People say it's pretty good compared to many other campuses in Ontario, they better be right because I'm going to spend 4 years there) Caps lock is cruise control for cool. I actually have heard alot that Queen's campus is the nicest in Ontario (> Western). The city outside of the campus isn't the best, but who uses the rest of the city anyway. The campuses are huge, and OUTSIDE the cities, Queen's is better anyway, being closer to skiing etc... Haha, and if Queen's has a rivalry with the superior school in Canada (reputation wise), McGill, they must be doing something right!

In the spirit of athletic rivalry, and standing on the Western side, WTF is a Gael? Like really, any information would be appreciated lol.

I thought it was the old English spelling of "jail." Makes sense considering Kingston has Kingston pen... sure a good google search would find the answer, but I don't really care to learn otherwise.

I think a Gael is someone from like Scotalnd (the Celtic ppl?) or something like that....hence the language Gaelic? I'm not too sure. By the way, I visited both campuses and I have to say they're both VERY nice. Probably the two nicest ones i've seen. Personally I like the Queen's campus a little better because Western is massive...it takes a while to get to classes depending on where you are. But that's just me they're both really nice. The Queen's campus is right next to downtown too...with Western it takes a bit longer to get there.

I have two brothers, one at Western and one at Queen's. Both school seem pretty nice. I'm considering Queen's, but I think it's a matter of personal preference.
As for Gaels: aside from being Celtic people, the Golden Gaels are the Queen's sports teams, so I guess anyone part of their teams is called a Gael.

There was a popular t-shirt being sold on Queen's Campus once "Western: Accepting Queen's Rejects since 1878"

LOL, yeah I kinda knew that, but like why would you decide to name your sports teams that? Even a team with a weird name, like the Ottawa Gee Gees has a meaning. In horse racing, a Gee Gee is the first horse out of the gates, so that has some athletic symbolism, Ottawa - come out strong, play hard etc. But WTF is a Gael?
