Being a non-partier, will I be able to be happy?
Or should I choose McMaster instead?

OBVIOUSLY. Please don't let stereotypes control where you decide to go. Just because Western has a party rep doesn't mean that every single one of the 29000 undergrads is doing a keg-stand on a tuesday night.

You will be happy no where if you let other people control your lives.

No.

I'm pretty sure they're all crack-heads too.

You should come to a real university...like....Queen's. razz

actually, classes don't start until 11:30 at UWO to give students a chance to sleep off their hangover from the night before. there is a strict policy of exams ending no later than 5 so that students have sufficient time to drink afterwards.

There is also a booth open Mondays to Wednesdays in the UCC where you can get your fake id done.

Yeah, I heard about that. We've got a similar policy here at Queen's of course.

Me should I decide to go, however I'm leaning towards UofT, maybe Waterloo.

Don't believe everything you hear.

If you shut your room in residence or you go to the library - you will not have to put up with any partying.

Get your mind out of the gutter.

I was also wondering the same thing, I don't mind hanging out sometimes but I'm not a big drinker/partier (especially when I may sacrifice my grades for it). Then again my highschool is full of that and I managed to avoid it, I'm sure I won't have a problem at uni either. I must admit, though, I'm looking forward to having some fun during frosh week.

Although Western does have a party reputation, not everyone is a partier. If you're living on campus, there are science floors, quiet floors, etc... it's really what you want to make of it.

SAFFEE

Either way, most people don't end up with really early classes.

that can't be true. I remember reading about people with 8:30 calculus classes, and some other subjects at 9 30 and 10 30.

yeah jus go to the library, my sister used to hate the idea of going to the library (before she went to uni) but only wen she got to UWO did she realize that EVERY1 goes to the library to study. UWO ppl hav a reputation of partying hard, but the majority of them study hard as well. now going to the library for my sister is a habit cuz its easier to concentrate in the library than in ur own room.

and y wouldnt u want to party in college? lol. u hav ur entire life ahead of u to work, college is a time to let loose, and study hard of course (u gotta learn how to balance and manage ur time), but if u miss out on college parties and u finally get a job, ur gona realize how much u've missed and its not really sumthing u can get back to. SEIZE EVERY OPPORTUNITY IN LIFE and that includes partying.
