I don't know whether there are others who share this trait, but I usually can't go through a conversation without quoting something - book, movie, song, whatever. I want to see is we can keep an entire conversation without using our own words.

I'll start: "Hello Toast! I greatly admire your ship!" (Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius)

A movie script has to make sense, and life doesn't. - The Barefoot Contessa

Money frees you from doing things you dislike. Since I dislike doing nearly everything, money is handy.
-Groucho Marx

"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours"
--Stephen Roberts

"You do not need the bible to justify love, but no better tool has been invented to justify hate."
--Richard A. Weatherwax

"Religion has convinced people that there’s an invisible man…living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn’t want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer and burn and scream until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you and he needs money."
George Carlin

This thread is going nowhere fast, but here is my submission:

"We have not even to risk the adventure alone, for the heroes of all time have gone before us - the labyrinth is thoroughly known. We have only to follow the thread of the hero path, and where we had thought to find an abomination, we shall find a god; where we had thought to slay another, we shall slay ourselves; where we had thought to travel outward, we shall come to the center of our own existence. And where we had thought to be alone, we shall be with all the world." -Joseph Campbell (The Hero With a Thousand Faces)

From my favourite novel, Good Omens:
God does not play dice with the universe: He plays an ineffable game of His own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players [i.e. everybody], to being involved in an obscure and complex variant of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a Dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time.

It wasn't a dark and stormy night. It should have been, but there's the weather for you. For every mad scientist who's had a convenient thunderstorm just on the night his Great Work is complete and lying on the slab, there have been dozens who've sat around aimlessly under the peaceful stars while Igor clocks up the overtime.

oh, and arrested development, of course:
Excuse me, do these effectively hide my thunder?
Okay, Lindsay, are you forgetting that I was a professional twice over - an analyst and a therapist. The world's first analrapist.
Come on!

You can if you inherit =D

For the longer quotes here, we should challenge ourselves and see if we can mix the entire long quote in a conversation.

You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus...

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.
- Anatole France

f you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put foundations under them.

lol words of true wisdom.

I love quotes that I can get up in the morning and look at and they provide a renewed sense of motivation to get through the day.
I even have a couple of them posted around my bedroom to make that a reality haha.
Here are some of my favourites:

You can’t do anything
about the length of your life
but you can do something
about its width and depth
- Evan Esar

The lower you fall
the higher you'll fly
- Chuck Palahniuk

All great deeds and all great thoughts have a ridiculous beginning.
- Albert Camus

Let us, then be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labour and to wait.
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

In this world of change,
nothing which comes stays
and nothing which goes is lost
- Annie Sophie Setchwine

Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.
- Zig Ziglar

That used to be my favourite quote until I watched Fight Club for like the 10th time

"Bleep off with your sofa units and string green stripe patterns, I say never be complete, I say stop being perfect, I say let... lets evolve, let the chips fall where they may." - Tyler Durden (Fight Club)

"Bleep darnation, man! Bleep redemption! We are God's unwanted children? So be it!" - Tyler Durden (Fight Club)
