I'm going UVic and for the last three months I have been debating over driving 50 min to school everyday or living in rez. I just decided to live in rez. Unfortunately...it's April!! Has anybody gotten in this late before? I won't have priority because I took a year off after high school. I think I might get stuck living at home but it's really not what I want. Do I have a chance?

It doesn't hurt to apply! And it looks like you should apply asap for the best chances of getting in.

this is why i checked off the residency box on every ouac application, even for those in my local universities. i tend to change my mind a lot and it's easier to drop the res option than to pick it up afterwards

Res is guaranteed to all first-year students who apply before June 30th. I'm going to UVic too!

Thanks guys! You gave me a bit of hope. Guess I'll apply and cross my fingers.
