what i meant by what I had said, was the fact, that both male and female act within their own personal limits and once pushed beyond what any human may consider their threshold for pain (in this case the emotional pain) they just let everything go and act outside of morality and reason. This is my stance- but I just thought I'd poke at feminism razz

hey swags_006, why did you delete your post?

hey have you ever been in an uncomfortable situation involving an ex-partner that lived on the same floor as you in your residence at university?

I hope to God I don't - but I always tend to do hook up with the wrong girls. I'm going to Western next year and hopefully this won't happen - but most likely will.
Either way, I must say that I have previous experience as I've worked at an overnight camp up in Central ontario (about 1 hour north of barrie) and everybody's hooking up right... and then me and this one girl started kinda seeing eachother but I got bored of her (as she was kind of messed in the head from the start) but it turned out alright b/c everybody's friends

Guys, guys, guys, it's all about recon LOL. You can't jump into a relationship with a girl, even if she's the hottest girl you've ever met without finding out some background info on her. I know this may sounds childish and immature, but see what people say about her behind her back, and see if you know any of her friends and ask open ended questions about her. It's your best bet to avoid the crazy stalker ex. As for floorcest, I'm definitely down if the girl(s) are down for just having fun, but with no emotional strings. Don't want to make myself seem like some nympho manwhore though LOL, my goal for rez isn't hooking up with as much girls as I can, I just want to have some fun.

Well said - Ms Down ask don't tell up there might have a word on the matter razz

But yeah Recon is a MUST, take this from any guy who's has an experience with a psychobleep- they're hott that's for sure but they CAN turn out to be crazy in some cases. Fun is a must- but don't compromise your friends for sex, booze or drugs
Plus you must always respect each and every individual person - it's just downright wrong to go on a have-sex-with-everything- that moves-binge

Wow sexist.... obviously those cases are extremely rare. Often they are not even true because people like to expand on what really happened for dramatic effect.

And 'guys are more emotionally stable' thats ridiculous. You're portraying girls to be out of control emotional wrecks which is obviously untrue.

Come on.

Where did I say anything about girls being out of control emotional wrecks? I simply said that women tend to be less emotionally-stable. Why do you think women cry more than men? Men tend to be more logical where as women tend to rely on emotion.

You're saying that a whole gender is less emotionally stable AND tends to forgo logic for emotion. These are really strong things to say and you're generalizing big time. Especially since these arguments were used to explain a probably untrue occurrence of a girl going berserk on an ex.

Some women cry more than men, some women are more emotional. It's incorrect to say an entire gender behaves this way.

Is it correct to say that men are more aggressive than women? Or would that be "generalizing"? Every rule has exceptions, but there are biological differences in the genders which cause women to be less emotionally-stable.

You're simply pissed off because I said something negative about your gender. Welcome to the real world. Women are not perfect. Men are not perfect. They each have their own unique set of deficiencies.

I'm not pissed off at all and obviously each sex has their own downfalls. I just think what you guys are saying is too harsh, pretty derogatory, and being used to justify something that doesn't really occur in the first place.

Sure saying men are more aggressive would be a similar example but its not as derogatory as saying women are less stable and forgo logic. That sends the wrong message and you probably shouldn't think women behave that way to that extent, because it's not true.

I also think its annoying that NEM jumped to the conclusion that I was emotionally unstable and a feminist (and he doesn't even know what that means) purely because I disagreed. He's just an idiot though.

You're really giving me the satisfaction of responding to my blatantly ridiculous post?

Most people on this board FAIL at sarcasm and take things wayy to seriously.

feminism: a political/social/cultural movement towards the equality of men and women.

if you disagree with that, you're an idiot.

Also just because I'm arguing against what you're saying, that makes me emotionally unstable? Wow.

I think its quite obvious that girls are not out of control emotional wrecks which is what was implied. Show me a study on gender differences that shows anything more than a slight difference in emotional behaviour between the sexes.

I'm going to go ahead and say you're wrong... not to be rude ;)... Seriously though, feminists have a legitimate reputation of trying to tip the scales "the other way"... To be honest, what are they arguing about now anyway, I don't think theres much sex based discrimination left.

Since its a scientific fact, I'd say he's probably right. Also, if you say more women cry a given amount than men, or that women cry, on average more, which I think you have just stated, isn't it fair to make the generalization that he made?

My boyfriend and I were the centre of a whirlwind of floorcest scandal razz, and were still together over 2 years later. Maybe its cause we were at opposite ends of the hall, as far as we could be from each other. haha.
