lol well, it's good to hear that you say it is a notable profession. I don't know why but some people still think lowly of nursing (when i ask other people, "psychologist" sounds better than "i'm a nurse"). And I don't think all people who switch into social science from science (like me) want to do it because they failed. My grades could have gotten me into some good honors courses ....but they don't interest me much (but yeah, i guess everyone who fails first year science do switch into social science), . However, I agree that some paths in social science aren't as open-ended (and yeah, many of my high school teachers said they ended up being teachers because they didn't get far in what they were pursuing...like my math teacher who didn't get far in engineering, or my english teacher who didn't do too well with science in uni)

You need your masters, and even that doesn't guarantee you a good job. Psychiatrists (ones who can subscribe pills) are the ones making the real money. Bachelor of psychology doesn't guarantee you a job like nursing does. One thing about nursing is that it is a very demanding job. I guess same could be said for psychologists who deal with the most mentally f*cked up people. Overall, I'd say nursing>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>psychology

Do whatever you want to do, the one you feel is right for you, the one that'll make you happy. I know pple who did nursing and hated it, and either left the program or stuck with it and are now not so happy with their jobs. So you gotta choose what you want to do. Make a list for yourself; what are your skills, wht do you enjoy doing the most and see which of those professions (nursing or psychology) you can tie with the majority of the points on your list. There're many people who went into fields in social sciences or other fields and are making great money. Nursing's not the only career in which you can make good money; there're many out there and some require about the same amount of education, and some where you can make even more than nursing. Do your research. Yes, nursing's always in demand and the job security's there, but will you be happy with it? You gotta decide for yourself.
