i think if you want to be gay go for it. gay people dont affect me in any way shape or form. if they're not marrying you or having sex with you then it really shouldn't matter. For the Christians out there, 10 simple reasons why we should all support same-sex marriage. http://www.samesexmarriage.ca/equality/ten_reasons.htm

I think everyone should be equal. That way we won't have anyone bleeping about anything and less annoying people but let's face it won't happen in my life time (just meaning a really long time if not never)
Anyway my two cents really nothing to talk about.
At my old high school in Toronto I only knew one gay person and that was at my co-op in the York Scott Library. In Newmarket medium sized town I know at least 4 gay people in my high school and I haven't even spent a full year here.....

As said many times it all comes down to the simple fact of love, and frankly nobody has a right to define what type of love is right or wrong. It is their decision on who they want to love just like anybody else and I'm sure those people that have a hard time accepting this would be equally mad if someone didn't accept their significant other. We cannot classify people or feelings and some of us just have to get it through our heads that ultimately we are all the same.

KJoy08 wrote:Wow.. I am definitely going to get chewed up over what I'm about to say.. I believe Gay marriage is wrong. (Im not just going to say it's "my personal opinion" either) When God created the world (yes I believe in God, I'm a Christian) He created Man and Woman. Adam and Eve.. he made them for eachother.. he didn't give adam another man! That is how it was meant to be, that is how it should stay. It is very clear in the Bible That Homosexuality is a blatant sin.. Now don't get me wrong, I know that I'm a sinner as well as anybody and no sin is greater than another, but that doesnt change the fact that it's wrong. And don't think I hate Homosexuals either, I mean I've been to cadet camp lol.. I've met a lot of bisexuals there and they are great people! I have gay friends and I have nothing against THEM at all.. just the way they've twisted God's perfect and holy idea of marriage. I respect your opinion, but I was just wondering if you feel this strongly in regards to a man and a woman having sex outside of marriage? Because I feel there is alot of hypocrisy when it comes to this issue. The religious right say that gay marriage is wrong, evil, demonic whatever. but I don't usually hear the same level of outrage when it comes to a sin that is actually in the 10 commandments

don't even get me started on the accuracy of the bible. for god's sakes, even the earliest book was written atleast 80 yrs after jesus' death, with no mention of jesus' physical miracles. and taking a piss is a sin in the bible. sitting in a "sinner's seat" is a sin in itself, i know ppl who don't go to movies because of this reason. ridiculous. think for yourself, and use reason to find your own personal morality.

Wow, this is a thread that's been inactive for a while lol.
I'm reading an interesting book right now that talks about how the old testiment was translated from Ancient Hebrew, after the Ancient Hebrew language was dead. So basically it was translated by someone why know the basics, and filled in the blanks. Anyway. I don't personally believe in organised religion.

You're almost worse than the people who follow it word for word.

I don't follow the bible at all, so no, I don't 'pick and choose'.

Flag wrote:I don't follow the bible at all, so no, I don't 'pick and choose'. Well, the Bible clearly condemns homosexuality... Why do you think Bible thumpers are the main group opposed to gay marriage? 'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.'(Leviticus 18:22) 'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.' (Leviticus 20:13) Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.(Romans 1:26-27) Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) etc. etc.

The bible clearly condemns homosexual sex.
And come on, lets admit it, men don't lie with other men as they would with women, they lie differently.
...
too lame.

So? Bible also has stories of holy men killing other people in Gods name. Are you saying that is right? Let your conscience be your Bible, thats actually what Jesus wanted. Bible is supposed to be a memorandum of history and truth, not supposed to be a "book of laws".

I think a lot of people pick and choose what parts of the Bible to follow...
Don't even get me started on what I think about that.
As a rugby player who has a large amount of gay women on her club team, I'm all for same sex relationships. They're not hurting anyone!

No. Read further up- I'm all for being homosexual. I said what you quoted because someone said that the bible condemns homosexuality, when it only condemns homosexual sex.
