Some say sugar and other means such as television infomercials make people addicted to food, or feel the need to eat in order to comfort themselves. When individuals are addicted to food or do not eat healthy, gain no fibers in their system it leads to health problems, obesity and possibly death. People should try to take care of themselves more now then ever with an increase in unhealthy products, franchises and advertisements.

You're right about food advertising causing people to eat, but there's also a lot of places that are trying to bring in healthier choices. Like you said people need to take care of themselves better. A pet peeve of mine is those who complain about being overweight yet never try to do anything about it, except eat more. If someone is legitimately trying to do something about their health and it's not working, then they can complain to let off the steam - but people who don't even try shouldn't think they have any right to complain about their situation.

With the rates of obesity going up, so are the rates of diabetes as they are directly related. With all the fast food children are eating compared to 30 yrs ago. For the first time in history parents will be burying their children because of this. Heart attacks are now occurring when people are in their 30's!!!!
